I would hope they would make 2 head sculpts. The SS one is pretty awesome to be made so long ago. HT's would need to trump it by adding two head sculpts.

Why? SSC has been releasing great OT products over the past few years and they're especially hitting on all cylinders this year. That's much more than I can say for HT apart from their Stormtroopers.
Besides, EU is dead, Clone Wars has a much smaller market than the films and PT isn't Star Wars anyway. No one should make any PT stuff again ever.

SSC has done pretty much all there is to do with the OT. New PT, EU, Clone Wars characters would sell better than some background OT character.
Dooku, Ahsoka Tano, Super Battle Droid, Cyborg Maul, Revan.... the list goes on.

Fixed that for you. I'm sure they'll probably do some of those characters, like Dooku. I don't see the point in EU stuff though, nor more Battle droids. That stuff just will absolutely not sell - look at the stock situation they have right now on that kind of thing.
EU is not Star Wars. Repeat that a few times. There are a few people that care about that stuff, but the vast majority of Star Wars products will always revolve around the films because that's what the vast majority of fans care most about.
Besides, OT Cantina aliens would outsell anything from the EU or PT. More bounty hunters would as well. Hands-down, no contest. We still need a Lando. AT-AT driver. Snow Trooper Commander. etc.

I can see them doing a Tarkin but not Dooku as much anymore (seemed like a no brainer 2-3 years ago.
) Because the new movies link directly to the classic trilogy, the prequels and EU just seem further away these days. There are still some cool looking characters to do from those but they don't really relate to what Disney is pushing right now. SSC would seem out of step if they went to those EU/PT characters, but they've done the battle droids somewhat recently so who knows.

Yeah, I kind of wanted a liver colored one but passed on it for $50.
I like the design but hated how they made them funny. I still fondly remember the shot from the teaser of the folded up ones rocking around - so cool. Then "roger-roger" and keystone cops.
SSC really needs to be told off over that - cash cow or whatever, it's amazing how many characters (Dooku?) went unmade because of literally fifty clone variants.

No. Clones sold excellently.
Darth Maul. Ahsoka Tano. Dooku. Episode 3 Anakin and Obi Wan (Hot Toys). A proper Cad Bane. There are many characters that would outsell poor old Bom Vimdin, even a few of the bounty hunters I would think (except Boba Fett).
Do I dare even say the unthinkable....

Of course it would be a target practice figure for most, but still.
A year after Episode 7 is when I expect to see anything different from SSC/Hot Toys not tied to ANH or TFA, so still a far way off for my hopes of EU, CW, PT stuff. SSC will probably focus on the troopers and droids and aliens. HT the humans. Or at least I hope this is the plan for TFA.

I bought a pair. The arm broke off and the plastic is cheap. My clones are bashing there skulls in and posing over them.
To be fair though, they do look great... and they are not the "classic" Battle Droid colors.
I think a Destroyer Droid or Super Battle Droid would sell.
