Thanks for the info, if that is the case, i feel confident I can pass on it. Nice to be able to save some money.

Travis: I predict you're going to be very disappointed with what's announced over the next 12 months. :)

Admiral Ackbar, Walrusman and Dengar are exactly the types of characters SSC should be focussing on over the next two years. They have good pop culture mileage and they could sell those at an around-$200 pricepoint.

A hint was given that (and I'm paraphrasing here) upcoming would be something that some people have recently been working on. My interpretation based on what I've seen people most recently working on: Bespin Han.

I hope the other one is Hoth Leia.

I know, I set myself up for disappointment quite often but it is a wishlist. I have been really on the fence on a lot of the new stuff and have not ordered any of the Hot Toys stuff yet. I am focusing on LOTR and GOT for right now and weird miscellaneous stuff not tied to licenses so its fine if they don't get to any of my must have releases. I am looking forward to the Jawas though.

SS promised the rest of the bounty hunters... I wish they would at least do those. Bossk is one of my favorite releases of theirs still, especially with the exclusive snarling head.

Ya, I would like them to finish what they started, so make the rest of the bounty hunters of finish the hoth line with Leia but finish them if and move to the next

It seems that HT is focusing mostly on ANH in 1/6... But I would love to see bespin han solo from them. It's gotta be the coolest style in all the galaxy ;)

ESB Han is inevitable. Guessing with carbonite.

Yeah but if they don't announce it soon, we're waiting two years because the TFA flood is about to be unleashed. My guess is HT will get to ESB and ROTJ this time next year which is a bummer. I would have preferred a HT ESB Boba and Yoda to an ANH Ben or even Leia (though yep - getting both of those.:slap)

I don't think HT will put the OT schedule on hold for TFA. It will likely just continue in conjunction with it.

Agreed though; the sooner the better! :lol

Bespin Han better have a solid sculpt. The ANH version is out since last September and no sign of tweaks or updates. It's almost always Lucasfilm delaying the process, they will take a great sculpt and alter it.

I'm curious as to what HT will have at SDCC - Jack Bauer - any hints?

We will only see it tweaked on release. IF it's been done.

Agreed though: if not then HT better nail it for ESB ver.

I'm a little surprised that HT will go all out for TFA considering we really don't know how well the film will be received by fans. If it doesn't go down well, then there'll be less chance collectors will put a lot of money into buying the figures. I think there's already plenty of the OT fans that are on the fence about getting into the merchandise for this film.

I know I'd be in for a Master Luke at this point.

Yeah, as that early 40-something guy, I may like this movie, I might love it, but I'm that sucker that collects based on nostalgia. TFA will mean nothing to me either way on that level. I'm sure they'll sell a crap load, but my wallet and I will welcome the break during the upcoming blitz. I'll admit the X-Wings flying over the water in daylight gave me a warm fuzzy though. I'm not looking for how technically advanced this is, where the story goes....I'm looking to see if I feel like a kid again watching it. But I'll have never played with a Kylo Ren figure with my brothers when I was 7 or 8, so no need to have them now. I'd rather get $250 worth of vintage Kenner.

Well if it tanks, kiss episodes 8 and 9 goodbye. Or we'll be waiting a lot longer than 2-3 years for the next. It will be like Pirates or Star Trek. Who knows when?

I can't imagine it won't make the billon dollar club though.

Tanking at the box office, not going to happen. Tanks in the minds of OT fans like the prequels did, thats another question entirely. As much as it's on our minds, I think it's also on JJ's mind, along with his producers. Fingers crossed.

Sorry but I just had to chime in on TFA, JJ and reception from ALL types of audiences. I was barely a year old when ANH was released but did see the rest in the theaters. Having said that, I'd never consider myself a "OT guy" as I enjoyed parts of all the 6 and disliked parts of all the 6 as well. But since we have JJ masterminding TFA, the man who resurrected Star Trek from the depths of nerdom, I just know that this will do well with everyone. And the best part is that while Lucas doesn't have the final decision on anything, he's there doing what he does best, he's throwing out ideas for the team. In my opinion, that is what made Clone Wars so spectacular. Lucas was throwing out ideas to the team but ultimately, it was their call on how and if they would use that idea.

Anyways, that's my rant about the films. As for the next figures, I believe that most people on here who are saying that after TFA releases, we will see most companies go for the cash grab on the popular ones are correct. We're still going to get releases of the older film's characters because, at least from what I've read, TFA is the big "hand off" movie from the OT. To me, it makes sense both financially as well as chronologically.

Movies like TFA don't tank - too much brand awareness globally. The worst case scenario - a performance like "Man of Steel" which was expected to make $1.5B and ended up "underperforming" with $750M worldwide.

I would say that TFA is a big "hand on" movie from the OT. There is essentially nothing in the trailers or pics so far that isn't straight out of the OT with your eyes blurred slightly.
