A Tarkin/Hux 2pk would be nice :)

A GL/White Slaver 2pk would be nice too.:lol

Maybe he meant "main" as in the "boss" villain, the guy in charge -- since Tarkin clearly had seniority over Vader before Star Wars exploded into a "saga".

I think everyone knows who the central villain is in Star Wars.

He's the main villain of the original film, and he's played by a cult horror icon. He makes more sense as a figure than some random background aliens and officers who've already been made.

So much this. So many people don't seem to understand how much cooler Star Wars was for having Cushing in it.

I don't see anything wrong with what I posted there.....

Vader was the main villain and most wouldn't spend $200 on a Tarkin.
As far as the original film was concerned at the time, Lucas didn't have things completely mapped out yet going forward - & in relative context, Vader was Tarkin's attack dog, with a clouded past.

Tarkin was the guy overseeing things for the Emperor, & you get that when you hear his dialogue in the film - not to mention when he gives the order to blow up Alderaan. He was in charge of the Death Star, not Vader. He was spear heading the campaign against the Rebels - not Vader. However, it's only when Obi-Wan tells Luke the brief story of Anakin / Vader, that you realize he's more connected to things than it may seem.

If you didn't know this already, there was a reason why Lucas chose Peter Cushing to play Tarkin, he wasn't just some old guy. As someone earlier mentioned, he was already an icon made famous by the 'Hammer' series of horror films - as well as a touted veteran stage & screen actor generally, so Lucas wanted someone to match Alec Guiness in gravitas - as he also tried to do in the PT with Christopher Lee, another 'Hammer' icon.

Although it'd be great to see it get made, I wouldn't exactly pay big money for a Tarkin doll either.

You're missing the KEY connection. Hux is Tarkin's son. :lecture

What are the odds of a HT release of the droids (R2, C3-PO) and aliens, like Bossk or Greedo, with this OT line? Or is that solely Sideshows territory? I'm not keen on hunting down the SS aliens on Ebay.

The two droids are fairly likely because they are prominent characters. But personally I think we'll be waiting a little while longer for them since Sideshow's versions just came out. 2nd and 3rd tier aliens like Bossk or Greedo are more of a longshot. HT is not known for delving too deep into lines. They still have tons of first tier characters to get through, so chances are HT will cover those first before ever seeing any aliens.
