RotJ was always my favourite growing up because I was born the same year and it was the most modern one at that time. I loved Jedi Luke, so it was the Star Wars movie I watched the most as I was growing up.

Oh yeah. I'm at 7 total viewings now.

I really, really like this movie. It's my 3rd favorite in the saga (behind TESB and ANH, of course). :rock

That's great. I'm at 8 viewings myself and will probably catch it one last time since the local big IMAX in my area is keeping it around until Deadpool hits. Obviously the Falcon chase gets the kudos because it was filmed in true IMAX but three scenes that always blow me away on the seven story screen are the Star Destroyer hangar, Hux addressing the troops outside, and Rey climbing the walls of Starkiller while troops patrol overhead. Those scenes have such IMMENSE scale and feel SO Star Wars on that giant screen.

For me ESB is the undisputed #1 with ANH and TFA probably going to be eternally trading places for the #2 position. I'm no ROTJ hater either though, it will always have it's moments.

Hey even Oscar Isaac's favorite is ROTJ :lol

If I remember correctly he has said in interviews that Jedi was the first movie he ever saw at the theater so no doubt that plays a huge part in where it ranks for him. How surreal it must be for him to have had ROTJ be his first ever theatrical experience and then to end up starring as an adult in THE direct sequel to it. Amazing.

Incredible! I don't even remember the first movie I saw in theaters...maybe George of the Jungle? :lol

ESB is still the top for me, although TFA is a close second. Even if TFA had been as good as ROTJ I'd have been satisfied, since I think it gets a harder time than it should. It has plenty of merits. Other movies in the franchise are a little more deserving of their criticisms :wink1:

TESB will always be #1 for me.I remember seeing it when I was 4yrs old at a Hoyts cinema in Sydney when my Dad drove us from our home city of Newcastle 2hrs away to see it with his mate and his kids.
It will always have that sense of awe and wonder, from the Wampa attack on luke, the AtAt attack on hoth, yoda, the bounty hunter scene, the approach to cloud city, han in carbonite and then finally the reveal.
Star Wars will always be my #2 as it is a brilliant movie and without it we dont have what we have now.
Perfect that last month I could return the favour and take my dad twice to see TFA....9 times ive seen it now.Imax in sydney was one of the best viewings besides the midnight session I seen with mates and my brother.

If TFA hadn't taken so much of a reboot approach I might have let it rival ROTJ for third best but I'll just let it stand at fourth. Great hearing everyone's memories of seeing the originals in the theatre. Never got to see them in the theatre until the special editions so I'm making up for it with multiple TFA viewings--3 in so far but I have an IMAX viewing planned next month and the blu ray comes out soon too. May sneak another viewing in on Tuesday before I arrive home to the Ren figure.

No, I think Quicksilver will be arriving tonight for shipment -- you know, the palette of boxes photos -- because Plastic Enemies has a "Pietro coming" gag on their site.

That means the professional pics from all the HKer's -- elljay, siuping, plastic enemies, etc.

Oh I see. The unlikeness of them doing a barrage of "Quicksilver final production photos!" coupled with "look here, Poe Dameron!" :lol

Yeah, probably won't happen.

Stupid Quicksilver, I'm glad you're dead.

:lol I think Leia is listed as one of the figures to come after Quicksilver. Wish they would do more of those "Coming Soon" photos. Nice to see for sure what's about to land.

:exactly:

TFA was a wonderful (and nostalgic) ride, but I wish it had more "new" stuff both in terms of story and worlds/designs so it remains #4 for me - though I think it's closer to ROTJ than I'd admit. But what a blast to finally have a new SW movie that was clearly (I mean for the majority) in the same class as the OT.:lol

What was the last HT SW OT announcement? Seems like it's been SO long since anything new/exciting has been announced ( and no, trooper variants aren't that exciting.)

It is a little nerve-wracking to have the whole of ESB/ROTJ 1/6 ahead, yet nothing but Fett so far - and now the avalanche of Marvel begins.:gah:

I'm starting to realize it may be a LONG time before we have HT ESB/ROTJ figs in-hand, yet with that flurry of ANH announcements last year, I thought we'd have ESB figs almost in-hand by now.:(
