WOW, so apparently looking at the newsletter, this year is going to be a drought as far as ESB is concerned which annoys me considering we PPO'd Obi, Han, Luke, Leia, and Vader and Yavin Luke :)fart) for Celebration. That's a whopping 6 1:6 for Star Wars' 30th. So far for ESB? *crickets* :monkey4:monkey4:monkey4

I was expecting we'd at least see Snowtrooper exclusive with E-Web cannon, Hoth Han, Hoth Luke and Yoda by SDCC.

Yeah it's sad there have been no pre-orders but they might be saving the surprises for SDCC. The sad thing is any ESB figures announced we won't be getting until next year long after the 30th anniversary is over. They REALLY f'ed up on the opportunity big time.

That wasn't the issue. The issue was with the idea that they weren't making him because he's too hard to make. How are they supposed to make a figure that is too hard for them to make? They're supposed to make him anyway--without being able to make him--just because he's important?

My apologies if that makes no sense whatsoever to me.

I never said he was too hard to make, i said he was hard to make, and instead of working on him they pump out 40 clone troopers because it's easy once you have the armor down. If they never make him then i guess my wallet will be a whole lot fuller.

I dunno.

CELEBRATION is being held near my neck of the woods (Orlando) this year and maybe Sideshow got something scheduled?

Sideshow won't be going but likely Cody will be on display there (if I read the newsletter correctly), so ESB fail.

To make up for this ESB fiasco, they best be giving us some awesome ____ at SDCC. I'm talking at least 4 12"ers and at least one environment all from ESB.

Anniversary was in May. The fact that there's only been the Boba bust and a Yoda "sneak peak" is a complete fumble in my book. Again, we had a total of 6 figures for Star Wars' anny. And ESB, being the best film in the sextet get's the luxury of being the red-headed step child. :(

Sideshow,

...with the lack of EMPIRE figures this year as Star Wars "fans" you fail hard. :lecture

Seriously, quit smoking ROTJ's pole & cashing in on clone troopers and give us figures from what is universally regarded as the best SW film, damn it! :tap

WTF.

Seriously, watch them release about 17 stupid ROTJ figures in 2013 to celebrate what is obviously their favorite SW film. :banghead

At the rate they churn out figures in this line we'll be lucky to see something by Empire's 50th.

I'd be more suprised if they start releasing ESB figs on ROTJ's anniversary....

In the "ASK Sideshow" it seems they have every character in the trilogies in some form of production. How about knocking out a few figures now and stop spreading themselves so thin...its no wonder figured come out lack luster at times.

I wonder how many ROTJ biker scout variants we'll get.:wink1:

(were there even any that different on screen?)

I wouldn't fault them as fans though. It is a little baffling that so many of the ESB figures are "in development" but expected to be released down the road. I appreciate the nod to armored figs, but there are also armored figs in ESB and likely while everyone was PPOing the Star Wars jazz 3 years ago, someone should've said, "Let's get cracking on the ESB stuff so that we have a nice showing for the anniversary." Guess either that didn't happen or there were some insurmountable circumstances preventing a decent representation for the film in 1:6 this year. Out of all the companies who have the license, I would've expected Sideshow to come through.

This sounds like a production problem, meaning who's ever job it is to schedule production along with releases. Weird, I know they have to be big Empire fans. :dunno

Eh, this is my list of SW figures I want in my collection. If SS makes these, I'll be a happy camper.

C3P0
R2D2
Chewbacca
Count Dooku
AOTC Anakin
TPM Kenobi
AOTC Padme
Boba Fett
Jango Fett
Biker Scout
Emperor (on order)
Royal Guard
Yoda (is coming soon)

veers about two years away?

two years to make a helmet?

sideshow seriuosly need to pull their finger out and release some figures-
i love clones and all but i need something different!!
we need hammerhead or something exciting like that
also can not believe that cody isnt ready for order yet!!!

to quote "major fail"

Without Chewie, R2 & 3PO, the line is definitely incomplete.

They obviously knew from the start that Chewie would be the most difficult figure to produce, so these several years should have been dedicated in some part to the development of the walking carpet.

Same thing goes for the droids. Want Chewie, the two droids and no questions asked, Sideshow! ;)
