I don't know, it just doesn't matter to me. We'll get the figures when we get them. No sense in being pissed off at Sideshow about their release schedule. It's not going to change anything. We should be used to it by now.

But you guys continue. :)

Who's pissed off? :dunno

I'm just disappointed that they went balls out on the Star Wars anny yet, like everybody else who has the license, have pretty much ignored ESBs but will be there with bells on wielding cheesy quotes and Force FX lightsabers to celebrate ROTJ's.

Well, some people seem pissed off. :lol

i suppose one could see the glass as half full... we have a lot of freaking Star Wars, and a lot to look forward to...

could be worse... could be waiting for the next Hot Toys apes...

It's not so much that Sideshow HAS TO celebrate the 30th anniversary of ESB with new figures. It's that Sideshow has all but ignored that movie in their 1/6 line (just Luke, Han, Lando and Piett). So what better excuse to show some ESB love than by using the anniversary as a launchpad. Using the anniversary also drums up excitement, which will insure sales of the figures.

Of course I know we'll eventually get ESB figures. Not starting a campaign this year is just a missed opportunity on Sideshow's part.

As much as I want to see some more ESB 1/6 figures, I'm on edge waiting for that Count Dooku 1/6th. Where is he already?

I think the key with Chewie is to NOT put too much hair on the figure. The customs I've seen, while pretty great on their own, simply look too fluffy/puffy to be a convincing Chewie. The hair should be stitched to a body suit, but thinly--no dense fur--almost like Chewie has thinning hair. He won't look balding if the body suit which the hair is stitched to is also colored brown (think of that terrible balding product that would "disguise" your bald spot by spray painting the area. Same principle.) If they do that, then the hair suit will look in scale, with a tall and slender Chewie, who should also have good mobility because of the thinning hair.

Chewie and the droids are an obvious hole in the line, but I can wait if it means getting a better figure.

Excellent point. Chewie was tall and lanky. Whatever body frame they decide to use, it has to start off being extremely thin. The furr would definitely add to bulk.

a tall lanky body could get lots of use for aliens too, like Kaminoans and and the tall yareel poof jedi master in TPM, and the canary looking guy at the pod races.

As much as I really love Chewie but SS would have to be really good with the hair for this because I would hate to see a final product where Chewie figure looking like a shi-tzu.

From Q&A
Is it possible that we will see 12-inch Scout Trooper, Snowtrooper and Boba Fett (ROTJ version) in the line?

Yes, to all three – they’re all actively in development.

Okay, who's the dork that submitted that rambling Thrawn PF question?? Step forth so I can beat the annoying out of you. Thanks.
