I picked the Cowboys to win. It looks like there will be another NFC East Championship game and the Cowboys don't fare to well in those.

Such a weird difference from Monday to tonight. Seattle is the #1 defense in the league, Carolina #2, but we get schooled by one and dominate the other one. Can the field of play really make that big of a difference?

Yes. Yes it can.

The intense noise that an away team has to deal with at Seattle is almost invaluable. And the bigger the game, the noisier it is. So for San Francisco (a hated rival) and New Orleans (a real contender on Monday Night Football), it's remarkabely hard to even adjust plays at the line of scrimmage. You go out handicapped because you basically play very safe and hope just not to dig yourself in a hole.

The playoffs are going to be intense since Seattle's populairty seems to be at an all-time high. Some team is going to have to have a remarkable push on the line of scrimmage and disrupt Wilson (as well as have a couple big plays on Special Teams) to escape their with a victory. Carolina still might be the best team to do that. Might. Maybe Philly the way Foles has been playing. But I'm not betting against Seattle in any home game.

I had origionally picked the Cowboys as well...
but then like the whole retiring of Ditka's # ..... Might really push the Bears for a W ..., + IT IS December. and the 2nd coldest game ever for the boys.
who knows here.

Eagles need them to lose. Plus I hate the Cowgirls.

I used to hate the Cowboys but there is not a Niners/Cowboys rivalry anymore. It was great at its peak but that was almost two decades ago. The media is trying to force a Niners/Seahawks rivalry but it doesn't feel anything like it used to when we played Dallas.

Yeah, I don't carry the hate that I used to for the cowboys. I remember being so pissed at them for keeping SF out of the Super Bowl so many times in the 90's. As far as the Seahawks I agree. The media is really driving to force something that just isn't there yet. Seattle is early into really having a dominate team for one of the very few times in that franchises history, and SF is working its way back after a decade of nothingness. Neither team has kept the other out of the playoffs let alone the Super Bowl. When those kinds of things happen then it can be a rivalry and really more so if the Super Bowl is on the line like with SF/Dal.

Now if people talk about the Cowboys, it just boils down to Tony Romo jokes from both sides. Here in Virginia, the fans are screaming to bench RG3-10 for good. They turned on him that fast. Oh well, dems da breaks.
