I like the prime time football games. Perfect thing to to go to bed to right after. Unless of course if it's your team playing in an intense battle to the clock expires, then your adrenaline makes sure you won't fall asleep for 2-3 hours lol

If RG3 is really their QB of the future, then there's not much reason for him to go out and potentially get injured again when the season is over. He didn't seem to fully recover from last year's injury yet, anyway, so some more time to rest could be good for him.

I agree with that and I also think Shanahan is trying to get fired to collect his $7 million. With an owner like Snyder, I can understand. Shanahan doesn't get his money though if Snyder's team finds probable cause.

I feel bad for RGIII. I think he gets criticized for the most insane reasons. He seems like a good, young smart guy. Granted, I don't follow the 'Skins all too much, but I see him as a victim in this whole mess. I know there are people who can't stand him...

I wouldn't call him a victim either. He talks too much and always seems to say the wrong things. There is a reason why is lineman don't help him off the ground anymore.

His people (dad) have not helped his cause. In some ways he has come off as a spoiled little brat, in some ways seems to come off as a victim of bad circumstances. I think the success he had last year (due to his legs) was the worst thing that could have happened to him.

In today's MLB Rule 5 draft the Texas Rangers selected Russell Wilson. Future 2-sport star coming?:monkey3
Funny, I was just thinking about Deion Sanders' two sport success yesterday. Seems like we haven't had a serious two sport superstar since then.

RG3, I haven't followed him too closely, either, but he does seem to say things that undermine his coach. And to me, that's a huge nono for an athlete. Supposedly he has a close relationship with their owner, and goes over the head of Shanahan sometimes, which is another big problem. If you don't have a clear hierarchy, with the coach at the top of game-related decisions, then you have major problems. A big part of that is the coach's fault of course, but the players need to have respect for the way things should be done. He should be voicing his concerns privately to the appropriate people, and not publicly.

But wasn't Newton just mopy in general, or was he criticizing the playcalling and decision-making? That's another guy I didn't follow apart from his Saints games, where he was all smiles and Superman poses when he was winning, but sulked and pouted like a big baby when he was losing. RG3 may do those things as well, but I don't think it's as big of a problem.

I see some similarities between Scam and RG3 but RG3 seems much more entitled. If Shanahan gets the can and RG3 doesn't play great next year he will get the coach killer tag.

Cam has shown some grown and maturity this year. In the past years he pointed the blame on others when things went bad, but now he's putting that stuff on his shoulders and speaking highly of his teammates when winning; not taking credit.

RG3 on the other hand, as others have pointed out, is allegedly very selfish and there are reasons why his linemen don't help him up. (Actions speak louder than words)
Apparently he has asked coaches to not show film where he has bad plays (former Baylor players said this was true in college) and he was given a parking spot at the stadium next to the exit so that he can quickly leave after games to avoid any media outside after press conferences.

Everything you describe is what Drew Bledsoe was like during the Pete Carroll years and early Belichick tenure. He was always in Bob Kraft's ear and used Ron Borges and the Boston Globe to air any dirty laundry that he wanted to spread. I liked Drew, but I sometimes wonder what would have happened to this franchise without Mo Lewis.
