I'm sure he's about to take a shot down field after he's seen that Richard Sherman has already been flagged for defensive holding ;)

It's a MacFarlane piece. You know the drill. But the MacFarlane Undertaker looks pretty good as far as I can tell. Gotta hold it though first.

I live in the DC area and get inundated with RGIII news, and by extension, news on Washington's football team. Although I'm a Cowboys' fan and have facetiously referred to him as RGMe in a few posts, I have nothing against the guy. He seems like a genuinely smart kid who unfortunately has believed some of his own hype. He didn't do his coaching staff or the organization any favors last offseason saying/tweeting that he was "All in for week 1". Without any reps in the preseason, he was bound to be rusty (and as we all know, by no means is he a pocket passer). Just because James Andrews did the procedure for Adrian Peterson as well and AD had a career year afterwards, there was guarantee Griffin would come back as strong.

His leadership skills (or lack thereof) have been questioned. After each Washington loss, it was always "We have to play better", and he was taking passive aggressive shots at the coaching staff. This was most notable after the second Philly game, where Washington came back, but RGIII threw a stupid pick in the end zone. Veterans such as Santana Moss chaffed when Griffin didn't take responsibility and own up to his mistakes; instead, he took pot shots at the coaching staff, saying the "Eagles knew what we were calling".

Griffin has denied the reports saying that he didn't want video of his bad plays being shown, saying that some one leaked that report for "character assassination". Earlier this week, when asked about the ESPN report that Shanahan considered quitting last season due to RGIII's relationship with Snyder, he replied "I have no comment...[this story] is not relevant to my life". WTF? Yes, it is relevant.

By no means is Griffin the only complicit one in this debacle. Sorry, but Shanahan has no business coaching anymore. His coaching record without Elway speaks for itself. And he didn't do himself any favors as well by hiring his son as the offensive coordinator.

But the biggest problem in all this? Owner Dan Snyder, who cultivates a star system with the Redskins. Snyder wants to be buddy buddy with his players. Snyder's personal security team accompanies Griffin out on the town. That parking spot referenced in the earlier post? It's actually inside the stadium, where NO players have ever had a parking spot before. From the Washington Post:

Allegedly during last year's win over Baltimore, where RGIII was injured and Kirk Cousins came in to lead Washington to victory, Snyder spoke with Griffin in the locker room at length after the game...but didn't say a word to Cousins, who's locker was next to Griffins and had led Washington to victory. This infuriated Shanahan to no end.

All and all, it's a debacle here in DC.

:goodpost: :clap :clap :clap

I too live in the DC area! Though I'm from Minnesota and am a die-hard Vikings fan.

The Washington Redskins UNDER DAN SNYDER, are a team that doesn't deserve the fan-base they do. 'Skins fans are also extremely gullible and get sucked in by his poor business decisions as well.

'Skins fans are unique too, they've also been cultivated and wow'ed by that "star system" that Snyder has brought to the area. Snyder constantly will bring in a STAR player that will make Skins fan drool in anticipation and then go throw money at him to buy the new jersey. They're crowding a crappy, over-priced stadium and then talk trash about how the 'Skins are the best and when it goes bad, they're the first to leave. I remember when Sanders was brought here, then they got Haynesworth, and McNabb and now RG3...it's a mess. At least Snyder got his millions off that RG3 jersey.

You know how to shut a Skins' fan up? Mention their owner.

The fans really need to boycott the team. Stop buying merchandise, stop going to game, and stop feeding the machine fanboy that is Dan Snyder.

The Messy Trio of Snyder-Shanahan-RG3 has made an embarrassment of this team even further than it has been in the past few years. Each are guilty of contributing to it in their own way. Snyder actually stepped away from dealing with football decisions for Shanahan but according to the rumors still does stupid things (according to rumors about how he alienates other players and only talks with "stars"). Shanahan is an ego-maniac and obviously not the great coach he was thought to be (he can thank Elway for that) and RG3 is a professional guy in front of the camera but a prima-donna when he goes behind the curtains (he wore an "Operation:patience" shirt during training camp).

If your a Skins' fan...drop out now and find a new team and don't go back until Snyder sells the team.

Wish we woulda looked like this against the niners last week!

Is it just me or with that last int did you guys hear that little kid yell "you suck eli, you suck!"

The D has actually stuffed us though on some scoring opp.

Tough loss. I'll try to enjoy the rest of the ride, but this has the feelings of a one and done coming up in January.

Good game Niners. We stayed healthy and played efficiently today. Miscue by Colin made Crabtree throw the ball in the stands lol.

Yeah, bit sloppy on offense for the Hawks but still a nice W. And congrats to Russell Wilson becoming only the 3rd QB in NFL history with 50 TD passes in his first 2 years.

Brady: "We make some good plays, and then we make plenty of ****ty plays"

Not bleeped, don't think the censors were ready for that.:lol You can feel some anger in the air for this one. I thought only Belichick had the surly PCs.

Oh, Saints. Very early, but it looks like they may pull one of these games where they lose to someone that look like a cakewalk on paper. They seem to have a couple of those every year they are good.
