I will finally submit. The Saints are the team to beat IMO. They are a damn powerhouse! More power too them. They are playing like a team ready to win the big game.

It's odd, you think of the Saints and you think pass. But what the guys were saying during the game, is that they run the ball MORE than they pass. Their just an awesome team and I'm glad the team to beat isn't the predictable ones (pats/colts/etc).

Kind of like how you were happy when the colts won last week against the same team right ****** bag?

Hey ****** i never said that Manning was Back! cause his been Back since day one!! thats Right Mother^^^^er!!! 5-0!!! thats what i was happy about ^^^^^ not that they killed the titans!!! :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl who didnt see that coming!!

5-0 dont mean ^^^^. You can have an undefeated regular season for all i care, and all it takes is ONE loss in the playoffs and your ass is crying. :lol

Sounds like some grape flavored haterade.

Yup! He's also wrong in that Favre has not been picked off yet. (guess when you talk out of your ass and are not paying attention that's what happens)

:)

/ignore.

No hate will be a bother, I'm having a ball with the purple so far. (next week will be a test indeed)

was at the game and pure sweetness the whole time, although it was bittersweet since my friend that i went with is a huge charger fan and she was sad that the lost

Finally Vikes fans have a year to be excited. love what Farve is doing there, and hope they keep going strong.

Yeah P!tu!! Take it from me...I'm a diehard Patriots fan. Look what happened in 2007...

:lecture

I'm always psyched about a Saints win, but as I've said before, I've been a fan too long to get too optimistic about things. If the playoffs happened today, I honestly think the Saints would have as good a shot as any other team. But by the time December/January rolls around, who knows who is going to be trending upward and who will be going the other direction? Just look at the Cardinals last year.

So you remember 1993 also.:rotfl

Through 5 weeks: Saints were 5-0
End of season: 8-8:horror

I have to give credit to Denver, I thought like everyone else, that Orton would play exactly like he did in Chicago, but he has been almost flawless so far, they could actually go deep in the playoffs this year.

I was never worried about the offense for the Broncos even with Orton. But I am in shock how quickly they have adapted to the 3-4. Says to me this change should have happened years ago, but Shanahan always preferred to play a gimmiced up defense which camoflauged how poor they were at the base 4-3. They just fired d-coord after d-coord and never actually tried to change the defense.

This change is working great along with a few key pick ups.

Still a bit apprehesive about drinking the ectocooler though. :lol

i was suprised at of well they took to the 3-4 defense as well, i would have thought it would have taken them at least a season to get it worked out but dumervil is a beast in that defense raking up the sacks :rock:rock

My heart tells me the Dolphins can pull it out this week but my brain tells me Brees and company will put up 40+ points without much effort.

That just exemplifies what everyone knows about the brain being smarter than the heart.

how is that? were you hiding out and scouting them during their workouts before the season even started? Orton completely stunk it up in Chicago everytime they gave him the starter position, I think most people not a Bronco fan, can't even name one of their RB's without looking it up, and a lot of people thought Marshall was going to either be traded or turn into the next TO, and not to mention a brand new head coach.

Well, the Eagles did give the Saints some problems with the "Wildcat." Until the 2nd half (when things started falling apart pretty quickly), things were pretty close. But a back-to-back special teams turnover and interception both turned into TDs can turn a team one-dimensional pretty dang quickly.

That was a tough game for the Chargers to lose...the Broncos D just dominated in the 2nd half. Kudos to them!

I'm looking forward to seeing the Steelers/Broncos match up, should be a GOOD game! :rock

The Chargers O-line looked pitiful. I had flashbacks to the Saints last year watching that game. I cannot stand Rivers (he is a complete ****** to be constantly talking smack to guys 3X his size who he knows can't hit him), but there is little doubt that he has amazing QB skills. But if you don't give him time to throw, it doesn't matter.

What did Orton have in Chicago to help him out? Cedric Benson, a guy they ran out of town, and a kickreturner/cornerback they tried to turn into a WR? If the Bears had to resort to turning Hester into a WR it tells me they were seriously short in that department.

The Broncos on the other hand have a stud offensive line, 2 quality tightends in Graham and Shefler, 2 superb WRs in Marshall and Royal and a veteran in Stokely. Plus a top rookie RB. Orton is now surrounded by quality players and isn't asked to do too much.

The biggest problem the Broncos had on offense the last few years was in the redzone and part of that was Cutler making bad choices, predictible play calling from Shanahan and a lack of a premier running back. I think they addressed all three of those issues by trading Cutler, hiring McDaniels and drafting Moreno.

I'll admit that Marshall's goofing off in camp gave me a little worry though. And again I thought they would have a miserable defense so I was predicting like 6-10 at first. :lol

I only saw a small handful of Chicago games last year, but I don't recall Orton as being a big problem for them. I know he helped them win a game against the Saints

Plus, with all their issues with erratic QB play by Grossman, I was kind of surprised to see them going for a frequently reckless QB like Cutler. I thought Orton was working pretty well, but as Matinee says, didn't have a heck of a lot there to help him out.

You need a good O-line, and a half-way decent running back (in that order). Without it, no QB will be worth a damn in terms of getting his team wins. Just look at Cutler. Look at the time Peyton and Brady get in the pocket, year after year. That's not the only factor, but it is a significant one.
