This slate of late games has been awful. Arizona seems like they could be legit if Palmer actually lasts the season. Also I wouldn't be shocked if Joe Philbin is the first coach shown the door this year.

The Fins look terrible, someone needs to be fired after a beating like that

I care dammit.

:lol My bad. Did not know there were any Raider fans on here. Carr and Amari looking legit. Beating the Ravens and the Browns, they have a tough schedule ahead of them but who knows, they might surprise some people and go 8-8.

Personally, I'm hoping its just a fluke and they start to suck. :lol

Fixed.

D played like ****. More holes than swiss cheese. But a save from Norman cause that was going to be a TD.

I thought the D was supposed to be the strength of the Panthers? Just an amazing pick by Norman though, McCown got greedy and went for it there. Norman borrowed Cam's Superman cape with that one. Underrated corner.

Bree's might play but being back won't happen. That injury isn't going to be magically better next week. Saints aren't that good and last time I checked they don't have a Julio Jones.

Giants still aren't that good and they can easily lose to Cowboys again.

The other 2 yeah are likely loses but you never know. Remember this morning the Eagles were dead in the water and Jets were doing to destroy them?

I think the Saints game is the easiest on the Cowboys schedule in the next month, but if Brees is back to being himself (I do not really know the extent of the injury, thought it was just a bruised rotator cuff?) I think he can outplay whoever the Cowboys put at QB. As far as the Giants go.... no Romo to lead the comeback :lol But as you said, anything can happen.

Saints actually didn't play badly today. Credit to their defense for most of the game, and McCown for hanging in there. Honestly McCown played more solid than Brees has yet this season. I was impressed. They were competing and competing well for most of the game, minus the defense crumbling toward the end. Unfortunately, McCown did make one mistake at an inopportune time, when they were driving down and could well have won it.

This preview of the Arizona-SF game from the NYT today made me laugh

"...one can almost picture quarterback Carson Palmer holding up the husk of the once-proud San Francisco franchise as the Mortal Kombat video game announcer commands, “Finish him!”"

and the game itself is making me laugh even harder.

that franchise must be in denial if they still think Colin is ever going to get them back in the playoffs. They win 5 games this year if they are lucky. They had plenty of opportunity to try a backup today.

Two years ago Ron Jawarsky called him the best young QB in the game. OOOOOPS

I didn't get to watch any football yesterday, except for the first half of the Atlanta / Dallas game. Dallas looked good that first half, until they gave up that field goal right before the half. Left the house to run errands with some concern…and of course, my concern was warranted.

Looking at the final score as well as the fact that the Cowboys gave up 25 straight points (field goal before the half, three touchdowns in the second half), it’s easy to pin that on the defense. But it’s not that simple. I still think the Dallas defense will be a pleasant surprise this year; maybe not a top ten defense, but not the defensive sieve some expect them to be. After all, they’re still missing their two best pass rushers (Greg Hardy and Randy Gregory), and their starting middle linebacker (Rolando McClain)…not to mention their best cover corner / slot corner Orlando Scandrick is out for the year.

What’s more concerning is the offense. Joseph Randle had 92 yards in the first half. He finished the game with 87 yards. The offensive line is the strength of this team, but other teams will load the box against Dallas. Weeden only completed passes to one wide receiver, slot receiver Cole Beaseley. Garrett and Scott Linehan need to call some downfield passes to at least attempt to keep opposing defenses honest. Atlanta was able to come back because Dallas couldn’t sustain any offense and keep their defense off the field.

Though Atlanta’s 3-0, and maybe the best NFC East team with their 3-0 record against the NFC East (and for those with their sarcasm meter off, I’m being facetious, as I know Atlanta’s in the NFC South), I’m not completely sold on them yet. They withstood a Philadelphia rally and were able to hold on, came back against an Giants team that made multiple mistakes in their first two games, and beat a wounded Cowboys team.

Having said all that, week 2 is in the books, and it’s far too early to make any real judgments. Last season, the sky was falling for the Packers, and after the Chiefs scored 41 points on the Patriots. Those teams turned out pretty well.

EDIT: Just read that the Cowboys only rushed the ball FIVE times in the second half? WTF?

Cowboys totally abandoned the run in the 2nd half...Atlanta made adjustments at halftime and the Cowboys didn't know what to do. The minute the momentum started to swing they scrapped the running game and starting throwing...it made no sense. Hurts to let that one slip away.

I CAN NOT STAND RAY LEWIS.

Like, geez, running his mouth about how no one is on Rodgers level. Yeah, there is, and he is better, Tom Brady.

Jeez, you're right. I'm sorry about that. I know he's improved his image a lot as this respectful, family friendly TV personality. I should show more respect to the man. Use steroids in baseball, or bet on it? You're banned from the Hall of Fame for all time. Be involved with/cover up/possibly commit murder, and you're all good in the NFL.

Your seriously should stop watching TV, typical Boston fan that's overly sensitive and unnecessarily upset by simple statements. And based on passing stats he's actually right.

Not entirely true, in the NFL you can only beat, abuse or kill a person ( like hit them with you Ferrari while drunk), especially women or children and that's ok. But you can NEVER tamper with the actual football used in a game, that is just unacceptable in today's world

He is good, he payed the family off. All clear in the NFL books. Guy should not even have played ever.

Who **** in your cereal?

Rodgers can have those passing stats and choke job in Seattle. Brady has the four rings and the passing stats... or did you forget?

True dat. I wonder how long it will take before Hernandez gets out of prison and back on the field?

*In a confused voice* "There goin for two?" - Jon Gruden.

Yes Jon, it is a ten point game. Getting the two would cut it to 8 and give Chiefs a small chance to win.

This guy was a head coach how?
