Did the refs take a crowbar to Tony Romo's shoulder? I live in Dallas and haven't heard a single person blaming the refs for what has happened this season.

Injuries and bringing on a cancer like Greg Hardy is what doomed this team.

I live in NY and there have been Dallas fans I know that blame the refs all the time for their losses..... I am not saying all Dallas fans.... Not at all. Just a few that I know from work... It's always someone elses fault they lose.

Injuries are without Quetion a big issue in Big D.... I would not mind if that is what they blame... But they are so blinded by Superfandom they think Dallas is still a great without their starters :lol Anytime over the last 6 years they lose it's the refs fault. I know other fans of other teams do the same I just happen to know a bunch of Dallas fans..... It is no slight on the franchise.... I usually pull for Dallas becasue I like Tony... The Dallas fans I know make it hard to do that though:lol

There are missed calls and missed plays all the time sometimes in bigger games... :)

All these years later I still can't believe the refs didn't call Woodson's obvious head slap. The tuck was correct even if people didn't like it.

Even if it was a fumble it would have been awarded back to New England, correct?

Yes, with the head slap flag. Without it would've been a clear Raider recovery.

You guys have me confused :lol

1. Watching the video a million times there is no head slap... Nothing obvious anyways... Even in the pic I posted you can see his hand is going for the arm. This is the first I have ever heard anyone claim there was a head slap... It's even part of NFL's greatest game and there was a anniversary mini doc on it and no mention of a "head Slap"

Searching the internet I found one non official site that said there was a head slap. But If it was... it was less of a head slap then it was a fumble :)

The Tuck Rule - NFL Videos

2. If it was ruled a fumble (which originally it was) it would have been Raiders ball because there was no head slap... No flag and nothing I can see on tape or video.

3. After Instant replay it was ruled Patriots ball because of the Tuck Rule. A player who's arm is in motion even if he is attempting to Tuck the ball back into his body is an incomplete pass... Brady Pump faked (because of coverage) held onto the ball with both hands and Woodson hit him.... But Tuck rule. I always joked that QB's should always pump fake that way they are in a permatuck :lol

4. The Tuck Rule was so stupid that the NFL got rid of it two years later....

Tom Brady has since admitted he thought it was a fumble but a little known rule saved the team.

Raiders still had a chance to take care of business and didn't so it is what it is... Still tuff to watch when the specials about it come on. Raiders really dominated that game until the last 7 min. Brady era began after that game. Worst thing about it was that Al (the nut) Davis let Gruden go and that came back to bite us in the ass in the Super Bowl :( Then 12 years of some of the worst football ever... tuff to be a Raiders fan.

Watch Woodson's right hand. Slap to the head.

I think that is just an angle thing... It looks nothing like that from any other angle... The Jerk of the head is from the hit. Tom Brady nor any other player has ever mentioned a head slap... Add that to the fact that from any other shot it does not look like a head slap that even if it was it was not a crazy missed call like the other poster implied. Ref would have been at that exact angle and seen the whole thing in slow motion just like you gif :) Plus were was the tripping call when Tom tripped greg Bikert??? You can see that in the gif also... Even of they gave the ball back it was an obvious attempt at a trip so it should have at least moved the ball back :)

Like I said, It does not matter... Raiders had their shot to win that game and did not come through.... Win it in Over time I say but they did not. Listening to Raider players they talk about how that call sucked the life out of them and I am sure it gave life to NE... But it does not matter... Stop them and win. Raiders did not and the rest is history. it's not like the raiders have not won some games with controversy (holly roller)

However It was / is considered a stupid rule and it was the first time anyone had heard of the Tuck rule. It was gotten rid of because it was considered a bad / stupid rule that should not impact games.

At least the Raiders are no longer considered the biggest cheaters in NFL history ;) ;) ;)

J/k of course... Sure I have some issues with spygate but I think other teams pull that crap. Same with deflategate

Looks more like Woodson hits Brady's arm and the momentum causes his hand to bump Brady's helmet. A far cry from what Deacon used to do.

If it was his momentum it still should have been a penalty.... But it does not look like that from any other angle... So I think it's more of an angle thing then a real head slap. Like I said I think we would have heard something from some players.

Just setting the record straight...

Go Raiders :)

I stand corrected.. never let it be said that JAWS won't admit when he is wrong...

Looks here like the face mask was hit... Having said that it is easy to see why it was missed when watching at full speed... Also it does not discount the fact that it was a stupid rule and refs miss calls all the time... Like Tom tripping the Defensive player :)

Still not 100% sure but it looks like his helmet moves from Woodson's hand and not just the force of the impact... Still surprised not to hear this said by other players or Tom not getting up during the game and looking for a flag.

Anyways here is the gif.

Also want to clarify that I am not a Brady hater... With 4 SB wins, 6 SB appearances, and tons of wins and records all with different receivers (No Montana to Rice here) I think Brady is the Best QB of all time... Just an opinion of course but the numbers have to count at some point.

Of course an argument can be made that we are in a pass happy NFL were the rules favor the offense and Players like Dan Marino would probably throw 70 TDs in a season... But I am just going on the numbers and what I see on the field.
