Warner is such an iffy for me. I mean any QB who can take St Louis AND Arizona to Super Bowls probably deserves it but man he had some suck bag seasons in between.

You can compare athletes from different eras. That is like saying you can't compare anything because it is from a different era.

That’s the point… he can’t prove you wrong just as much as you can’t prove you’re right. Of course you can compare anything of any era.. what you can’t do (most of the time) is PROVE which is better. Comparing athletes of different decades is like comparing cars of different decades. Some like the 60’s muscle cars and some want the new Ferrari… one isn’t better than the other, its all OPINION.

I find it funny that the same isn't said about Montana more often. I don't think it's really a knock to say that in many ways Montana was a product of Bill Walsh's WCO system.

As far as 4-0 vs. 4-2 I do find it funny that getting there and losing is seen as worse than not getting there at all. In the end they both had further SB wins thwarted by the Giants. Montana's just came a game early.

That's funny I was just watching a ESPN film about the Buffalo Bills last night and indeed everyone including the social media, news reporters and what have you said Bills was the best team of the early 90's. They went to the SB four years in a row from 1990-1994. That counts for something regardless of them losing each one.

Thank god the first playoff is on ESPN. I used to hate when the WC Saturday game was on NBC..they had makeshift commentators.

I like Mike T and John Gruden on commentating..this is going to be a MNF atomosphere now!
