Replace Ray Guy with Edgar Martinez and Puner with DH and its the same thing we are thnking about here in Seattle.

And how about us dumping our coach today and looking very much like bringing in Pete Carroll... yikes.

Here's the difference. This is Edgar Martinez's first year of eligibility into the HOF. Ray Guy has been waiting 15 plus years.

The problem with hiring Pete Carroll is that they're making him the GM too. The coach/GM role rarely works unless your name is Bill Parcells.

Manning runs away with the MVP. I guess it had to be all the comebacks and the fact that he never lost a game he finished playing. Stat-wise, he wasn't the best QB, really, but I guess he deserved it as much as anyone.

Yeah but you really going to throw a guy who has not been on the field in 7 weeks into the fire of playoff game. If there O line had issues I could see it but right now they have an O line thats playing well and have continuity and this will destroy that continuity. I think its going to be a big mistake, especially when the QB is concerned before the game starts, just what you want you QB to be worried about before a playoff game.

What happened to Palmer? I haven't seen many Cinci games this year, but he's looked pretty mediocre the last couple games. He used to be one of the most accurate and feared QBs around, but not recently.
