I lost my shorts on ALL four games, wow that was a first! :google :google :google :monkey2

Yup. Bad week to live in Vegas. I missed 4/5. I recovered some losses by taking Jets ML (line was too good to not use it as a backup just in case SD didn't live up to the hype, which proved true).

Hope next weeks games are better than this weeks and more evenly matched.

Hey Bro! :wave

Am I sad that the Chargers lost? Sure. I was hoping for a win yesterday.

Am I bitter? Nope. It's only a game and my Chargers will be back. :D

I do find it funny that all the bandwagon jet fans are now coming out of the woodwork! :lol :lol

Even though I do like Drew Brees...

I'll be rooting for Favre & the Vikings to go all the way! :rock :rock

:waveSnoops my good man, the Chargers will be back next year. Too much talent there not to be. :D

Although, I'm convinced any Norv Turner led team will choke in the big game. I really hope this isn't the case next year.:(

Damn, if my Vikes win "I can just die in peace." :wacky

I'm just joking around about it. I was talking about fixing the games to get this AFC championship between the two teams that started this all for a ratings boost before the superbowl which I think is on CBS this year. I was just taking a dig at Fox because it's known for trashy programing and reality tv.

Yeah, FOX has both the A.F.C. and N.F.C. Championship games this Sunday. Then, CBS has Super Bowl 44 on February 7.

Oh yeah. Don't forget the Pro Bowl one week before the Super Bowl in Miami. Before the Super Bowl for the first time. I don't like that. I've always liked seeing the Pro Bowl one week after the Super Bowl...and in Hawaii.

Very stupid to have pro bowl prior to superbowl. If I was a coach of a superbowl team, I wouldn't let my starters participate.

And I think this is how it will be scheduled for next few years.

Looking forward to seeing The Who during SB halftime show. Should be less lame than is usual.

I hate that CBS has the SB. I don't know about you guys and gals but their sound and video quality sucks on Comcast HD.

That's strange, I have Comcast and the NFL broadcasts on CBS probably look the best out of all of them. (or maybe it was NBC, I forget)

Nothing to do with the quality of the video necessarily, but I dislike Fox's NFL presentations the most. In my opinion the quality of the analysts (usually), on-screen graphics, and production decisions broadly are generally sub-par on Fox. Like it is barely above being a local production. Both CBS and NBC look significantly better, like they are big-time, professional outfits. This is weird to me, because this isn't 1988. Fox is a major broadcaster, but they end up looking way cheaper than the competition. Same thing for FoxNews vs. the other news channels, even though FoxNews is way more popular than CNN or MSNBC.

Not that it matters. 90+% of Saints games come on Fox, so we just have to grin and bear it.

I can't watch the CBS team. I have to put it on mute or turn the channel. Shannon Sharpe and his mush mouth, Cowher and his spittin' lisp, Then you have Marino and Boomer's enormous heads that can't fit in the same room. It's unbearable. I much prefer Fox's team. I wish they'd get rid of Strahan though. He was a bad addition.

Haven't been on the site since last Friday, so a belated congrats to the Vikings and their fans. I'm disappointed that Dallas didn't advance, but I am very optimistic of where they are and where they will be in the future.

As for the remaining four contenders, I wouldn't mind if any of them won the Super Bowl. I'll just sit back and enjoy watching the games. But if I had to pick who I would like to see win, it would go in this order:

1) Indianapolis: Another Super Bowl win would add to Peyton Manning’s legacy. Yes, he’s already won a Super Bowl and he’s a sure-fire first ballot Hall of Famer, but the one mark against him (whether legitimate or not) is his lack of post season success. If I remember correctly, over the last decade, the Colts had the second most regular season wins and the second most playoff appearances (both behind the patriots). However, the Colts have been bounced in the first round too often. Another Super Bowl win draws Manning closer to Brady.

2) Minnesota: A toss up between Minnesota and New Orleans, but for me, Minnesota gets the nod because of Favre. Not because I am a Favre fan, but Minnesota’s window of opportunity is smaller because we don’t know how much longer Favre will play (as well as the ascension of the packers, who are scary good). Favre winning the Super Bowl caps off his HOF career, and he rides off in to the sunset.

3) New Orleans: Again, it was very close between Minny and NO, but I feel that NO will be perennial contenders as long as Brees is playing. A Super Bowl win is more good news to a region still recovering from the devastation of Katrina.

4) New York: Who’d a thunk it? How great would it be for a team that “snuck” in to the playoffs win the Super Bowl?

As for the analysts, NBC has the WORST there is. Rodney Harrison and Tony Dungy can actually put me to sleep if I'm drowsy while watching them.

CBS has okay analysts; Shannon Sharpe's suits actually hurt my eyes. Last week, what was it, purple velvet??? Just awful.

Fox and ESPN are my favorites. NFL Primetime is pure awesomeness, even though I don't really like Chris Berman. The Analysts on ESPN are the best IMO.

I can't stand Berman any more. He just bumbles through stuff, interupts people with stupid comments and makes dumb sound effects. I think he's lost some brain cells over the last few years. It seems he'll start saying stuff out of left field like, "The Vikings defense is certainly strong. Be that as it may, they need to do play action more."
Or he'll lead in with, "the Saints have been using Reggie Bush really well the last few games, Tom tell us about Drew Brees now." He doesn't make any sense.

I've found myself listening to NFL network's pregame, but I've always like Marshall Faulk and think he's a great football mind.

LMAO! :rotfl:lol:lol:rotfl

It actually looked like Shannon Sharpe borrowed Hugh Hefner's smoking jacket.

I think there should be more journalists and less former jocks doing the "analysis," with a mix of coaches being OK. But people like to see these meat heads for some reason, I guess.

I prefer the analysts on NFL Network. I watch it a lot. Especially since the Saints have had a great season. They have had great coverage on them. Plus it looks professional, and not "second-rate".

I like former players like Deion Sanders, and Marshall Faulk. They both know the game well enough to bring their knowledge and experience to the shows. It's great to hear from former coaches like Brian Billick, and Steve Mariucci.

By the way, karamazov, Saints owner Tom Benson owns our local FOX station, WVUE FOX channel 8. So that's why the Saints games are mostly seen on the FOX channel here in the New Orleans area. Maybe Benson also owns the FOX channel in your area in Baton Rouge?
