They have been doing that all season, and not just the defense. Did you see the interception of Brees/fumble/runback for touchdown by Meachem against the Redskins? One of the craziest things I've seen in the NFL.

This is one of the craziest plays in the nfl ever. I think the Immaculate reception is still number 1 but that one is close.

That is why when you get an interception or a fumble a recovery you just drop to the ground. Unless of course no one is around you.

No they Redskins made the cardinal sin, block the intended receiver. Same thing happened to Ed Reed against the Colts.

He landed a yard behind the line. It was marked a yard in front of the line. Where he landed after seeing he lost control of the ball is where it should have been marked. Reply clearly shows where he's at on the ground at the end of the play.

i just watched NFL live, and a topic was all the blown calls in that game. I'll admit that the Vikings gave away that game, but man the refs made 3 horrible calls in OT against the Vikes............that was just a bunch of ridiculous BS by the refs, the Vikes gave it away and got raped in the ass by the refs at the same time :monkey1

So shall we go over the bad calls against the Saint too?

Personally, I get a kick out of the "lousy refs" complaint.

Officiating can be criticized after every single game played in the NFL. Refs are not there because they are perfect. They are humans.

Imperfect officiating has been a part of football as long as there has been football. It is a part of the game. And to try to demand perfection from the refs is as ludicrous as demanding that each team play a perfect game. Ain't gonna happen.

Sometimes teams overcome the issues...sometimes they do not. Each team will play at least 16 games next year with more bad officiating. Get used to it.

It has gotten to the point where people who complain about officiating are starting to seem to me like people who don't really know football. Now, I know that is not always the case...even NFL Coaches complain about it sometimes. It just seems to me to be the weakest argument of all of them, even if it is true.

Exactly, Vikings have every opportunity to make that a blow out game if they wanted to and the little miss calls wouldn't have mattered.

The Vikings did it to themselves with penalties and turnovers. The Saints scored on some of the turnovers, and the big interception in overtime cost the Vikings the game. Because it started the drive to get into position for Garrett Hartley's 40 yard winning field goal! :D

The referees/officials do not catch every penalty. They sometimes do not make every call correctly. As was just said in this thread, it happens. It happens to every team in every game. Even the big games in the postseason.

The Saints have earned their spot in the Super Bowl. They have played very hard, and won 13 regular season, and now 2 postseason games. They have posted many first-time records in both team history and N.F.L. history this season. This will be the first time in about 18 years since the two top seeded teams in the A.F.C. and N.F.C. will play each other in the Super Bowl.

Vikes handed that game to the Saints.

I will be rooting for the Saints, but i think the Colts will win.

Which ref threw the ball moving right to his left and got it intercepted on the 30 yd line? :)

Interception wasn't in overtime. Saints won the toss, and had a good runback which set up the field goal.

You gotta feel sorry for Favre. You can tell he was heart broken when he stepped up to the podium. I don't know how I would handle something like that. To go from pretty much having the game already won to throwing the interception and losing in OT must be excruciatingly painful.
