I don't disagree with any of this, but it wasn't all the Vikings blowing the game. Give the Saints credit. They were the ones causing (most of) the fumbles, and getting the interceptions. Yeah, the Vikes played badly, but the Saints defense did precisely what they had to to stay in the game. And that was cause turnovers. Because they sure as heck weren't going to stop the team by stopping the run, creating pressure on the QB, or knocking down passes.

No doubt. For every mistake a team makes...the other team has to capitalize. Many do not. Teams can get away with a lot more of that stuff if they are playing lesser "D"'s. But better defenses will shove those mistakes up your ass. And a good opposing offense will break it off when it is in there.

I agree with you too karamazov! The Saints defense DID step up and caused some turnovers, and also recovered the ones that were the fault of the Vikings. I've watched the game three times now, including the original broadcast. Like I said here before the Vikings "shot themselves in the foot" so to speak with the turnovers. Our great defense of the Saints put pressure on Brett Favre, and forced him to make many horrible decisions in the passing pocket. Sure he is an old veteran, but as a lot of analysts will point out...he does make mistakes. He is human, and not perfect.

By the way, Jim Henderson on WWL TV and radio today said that the Colts will be the "home" team in the Super Bowl, and wear their blue home jerseys. The Colts record in Super Bowls when they wear the blue home jerseys is 0-1! The two Super Bowls they've won so far was when they wore their white "away" or "road" jerseys. The Saints will be the "away" team and wear their "away" or "road" white jerseys. The Saints record this season wearing those white away/road jerseys is 7-0 in the regular season! Hey, that's a GREAT sign already! :D

Well, based on that stat, why even play the game? I mean, that's it! Game, set, and match. Game is a formality. Forfeit the game and avoid the embarrassment, Colts.

True, true. But I would still want to see our Saints BEAT the Colts on TV in front of millions! The Saints need to get the respect they deserve. I think beating the #1 team in the A.F.C. in their (Saints) first Super Bowl appearance will do that! :D

Should be a good Superbowl. (Well, as good as can be expected without the Chargers ...:p )

It will be interesting to see how the "new to the scene" Saints handle the "been there done that" Colts.

You forgot to add that the last 5 Super Bowl champs have worn white jerseys in the Super Bowl.:lol

I have nothing to say at the moment. I just don't want anyone thinking I bailed just because The Steelers are off for the rest of the year.:D
