Sorry man...with all the wrong in this world, the fact that this scumbag is getting paid millions after what he did really pisses me off.

Especially when fans cheer him and buy his jersey.

Yes I might take it too seriously, but to know that he personally strangled or drowned dozens of dogs to make money makes me sick to my stomach. Something is seriously wrong with our country when we root for people like him.

Hmmmm

Ray Lewis

Kobe Bryant

Michael Irvin

Dante Stallworth

Ben Cheeseburger

That's just for starters. All committed WAY more crimes again HUMANITY and received lesser punishment. Feel free to add to the list people. :rotfl

He played like a pile of _____ which is what he is. :hi5::clap Where as a good person like Drew Brees who is a positive influence wins a game. I hope Vick is homeless by end of season giving 5 buck bl*wjobs in dark alleyways.

Vick actually played pretty damn good and gave the Eagles a chance to win the game.

Yet I don't hear you complaining about people cheering Ray Lewis, Roethlisberger, etc.

Yeah...sorry but there are some things in this world that are unforgivable. And what positive influences has Vick had? And I'm not talking about "football" I'm talking about the bigger picture. If you kill dozens of dogs and live a thug life you don't deserve to make millions of dollars a year playing football. The city of New Orleans was devastated by Katrina and ALL the saints players helped rebuild the community...all of them. What does Vick do to make the country better? Sorry man...you aren't going to change my mind on this..when guys like Vick who think they can get away with murder lose, it makes me happy.

Vick is a scumbag and the simplest way to ask this is...if you are a parent...would you be happy if Vick was your son?

No one says YOU have to forgive him....but he paid his debt according to society and deserves the chance he is getting. And because I believe this in no way means I condone anything he did.

You are going to equate what Reggie Bush did to what Vick did? Dude...that's a stretch...Bush didn't kill a living thing last thing I checked.

Reggie Bush affected more human lives than Michael Vick. How many kids are losing out on the opportunity to play football at USC because the school lost all of those scholarships? You cannot measure the affect it will have on lives right now...but to paint Reggie as the "Saint" of New Orleans because he helped build some homes is a stretch.

I know the rule and I still feel they still got robbed, by the letter of the law the call was right but it was 100% obvious he had control of the ball.

The biggest issue I have with the rule is that if a RB gets 1 nanometer of the ball over the line then loses the ball its a TD, but a guy makes a great catch gets his feet down then hits ground and ball comes out its not a catch seems pretty dumb. If you have to have 100% control of the ball to catch a TD you should have to have 100% control to the if the FB is run in.

I agree that they were robbed, but as soon as I saw the replay I knew it was going to be an incomplete pass.

Well said. :clap

I can't wait for tonight now! Should be a great one! :rock

I think a lot of teams looked sloppy. The Steelers/Atlanta game was painful to watch. :horror

Hey, Atlanta is a decent team, and the D showed they can get this team through this 4 game stretch with a decent record. As a steelers fan, that was a beautiful game to watch. Now that Skins/Boys game was painful, but the Boys lost so it was beautiful too:lol Now I'm looking forward to the Jets/Ravens game tonight.

Nahhh I maintain it was boring. :lol You being a Steelers fan of course you would be in to it. I could watch the Eagles scrub paint from the walls and still be interested. However, the first half of yesterdays game was down right dreadful!

I don't mind defensive games at all. However, there has to be some hard hits and some good plays. The Skins/Boys game last night was a defensive struggle but the offences still had their moments.

Tonight will be great! I'm hoping to see lots of hard hits!

it also hurt the program, no bowl games..no money

watched the falcons/steelers...fell asleep.

vick looked great yesterday...ended up being a better game than it looked like it was going to be.

I know I'll come off as a Bush apologist because I'm a Saints fan (and there is probably something to that), but I hardly blame the college players that get preferential treatment when something like this goes down. I just spent 7 years at LSU, and saw how the football players are treated at a major football school. They all get preferential treatment and benefits that regular college kids don't (scholarships though they don't take serious classes, electric scooters, fancy clothes, the best building on campus with tutors, guys to do their homework, and free printing, etc.). Is there is a difference of degree for how Bush was treated? Yes, but if the purpose of the NCAA's rules are to make sure that athletes aren't treated preferentially, then a good chunk of athletes at major football schools, and most of those schools, should be penalized as Bush/USC were. I place the blame more with USC, its boosters, and the sports agents that collude with them than Bush. They are the ones who should have acted with the interest of the school in mind. But apart from that, the whole ruling with Bush is, in my opinion, more trying to make a point with a high-profile athlete than anything else.

I was responding to a specific post about Vick. Not the other players.

You're missing the point. If you want to save the world from scumbags then you should respond each post that contains a player or players that have done the world wrong over the years. :lol Take your pick. I'd imagine you can find a couple on each NFL roster. :lol

There is HUGE difference between what you describe at LSU and what Bush did. Sure what you describe at LSU happens at just about every college. Did all of those players get dirt cheap very expensive house for his parents? Did they get over $100K in stuff for themselves and their parents? The NCAA ruling was an attack on a Big time program who had major issues in both football and basketball way more then an attack on Bush.

For the record I will be buying my dog Doug a Vick jersey. For myself? I will be purchasing the Plaxico Burress sweatpants with sewn in gun holster. :rock

True, but Bush and the USC football program are the only ones that can get punished.

Are you having a Donte 1000 breathalyzer installed in your vehicle too?:nana:

I got that for Christmas. This year I will be asking for the Roesthisberger Roofies.

I agree, but my point is that it is a matter of degree, and the NCAA come across as hypocritical when they get on their high horse about USC/Bush but look the other way when lesser versions of the same behavior go on all the time. Of course, as I think we both agree, the point was more making a big statement than a real attempt to punish Bush because he deserved it.

As for blaming Bush, how many college football players would act differently from him in that situation? Some, sure. But I bet most would have a hard time turning those gifts down when the entire culture involves getting preferential treatment and feeling that you are deserving of it all. And frankly, based on the money guys like Bush bring to big-time colleges, I'm not so sure that they don't deserve what they are offered. But that's a whole other issue.
