I thought both teams did a pretty good job in different areas of the game. Saints D isn't good or anything, but the Falcons did a great job of wearing down the clock with those long-ass drives. Steve Martin channeled Les Miles going for it on those 4th downs, but like it did with Miles a few years ago, it worked. Saints scored when they needed to at the end, and Brees drove down to win it in OT, but Hartley couldn't close.

Time to bring Morten Anderson out of retirement, IMO.

I guess the horseshoe was surgically transplanted up the Falcon's collective asses for winning due to a missed glorified extra point.

Saints defense played like crap all game, though. Couldn't stop old man Gonzales to save their lives.

I wouldn't go that far. It shouldn't have even gone to overtime. A punt bouncing off the back heel of a guy running out of bounds with his back turned to the play and bouncing into the hands of the long snapper? Yeah, it's still deep inside, it just dropped a few inches today.

Side note. Morten Anderson is doing the Atlanta news post game right now. He's fat as crap.

If the Saints didn't have the ____tiest kicker in the league, they would have won. I bet Atlanta's kicker won't miss this one. Might as well have kept goddamn John Carney.

Odd I bet you didnt think that last week.:lol

I would still take him over Hartley. I would take Carney over Hartley right now, and I hate Carney. Kicks in the NFL are too important, and a kicker cannot be allowed to miss a gimme. Add the misses from week one, and I think it is clear that we need someone else.

You can't have inconsistency like that in a kicker. Yeah, he had a good game last week, and he had a good playoffs last year, but earlier in the season last year he wasn't playing well, and he sucked in 2 of the 3 games this year. I think kickers need to be on a short leash. It isn't like changing the guy is gonna affect the rest of the team's morale.

I know but I had to say something after he went 3 for 3 and winning the game last week:lol

Steelers won, and the Ravens and Bengals had lack-luster performances once again. I'm happy that 3-1 is the worst they can go during Ben's suspension, but it's kinda exciting knowing that 4-0 is completely plausible. Old man batch looked good today, and that really opened the running game up for Mendenhall. can't wait until next Sunday!

If Batch wasn't so prone to injury I would personally take him over any other qb on that team. Including Rapistberger.

Eagles win and Giants and Skins lose. Good day!

Booooooooo!!!!! :pfft:

:yess:

Why is Ben suspended?

Are you serious Fingaz? :horror:slap

He only raped an underage female in a bathroom at a bar.

For the record, she was 20 years old at the time, so she was underage to be at a bar, if that's what you meant.

...and also, for the record, I am a Steelers fan and I don't like Ben or anything he has done...at all.

I don't follow NFL during the offseason (or season) and watch games every now and then so i'm always surprised to see the trades and suspensions or whatever. Had no idea McNabb was traded :lol

Yes I meant underage as in under 21.

I also recognize that most Steeler fans want him gone. :rock

Next Sunday at 4:15 is going to rule! If the fans boo 5 though I will be pissed. I expect a standing O when Don takes the field.

They'll boo. He's on a opposing team. Favre got booed bigtime from Packer fans, doesn't mean they don't love em. It's just what fans are supposed to do when playing a rival. You don't come in a long time rivals uniform and expect cheers.

They should boo, and DON should smile and have fun with it.

Yeah, but Favre ultimately left Green Bay because he wanted to leave. Or, he forced management to kick him to the curb by all his indecisiveness and drama. McNabb left purely because the team wanted him gone. He didn't "turn his back" on his old team as some in Green Bay feel Favre did.
