Whatever the case why someone left don't really matter. You're in a divisional rivals uniform. I think it's the fans job to boo. It's a game, and that person is now an enemy.

(And they wanted Favre out and Aaron in BTW)

That guy gave that town everything he had for, what, 10 years? And you think the fans should boo him right out the gate? I don't agree with that. They should show appreciation. . .but then, it is Philly :D

They booed him when he was drafted, they were booing him before he left, and so I do think they will boo him again. But if a guy like that ended up leaving New Orleans in those circumstances and came back on another team, I am about 95% sure the fans wouldn't boo.

Yes i do. It's a game and like i said he's in an enemy uniform. It don't mean you don't respect the guy, it's just part of the game. It's not booing as in you hate the guy, it's just booing that he's now the enemy.(it's all in fun) People sometimes forget that it's a game and cheers and boo's and hisses are part of that. (I don't know how divisional rivals are in the south but up here and out in that division it can be pretty tense, and people have LOTS of fun with it) And yes, it is Philly to think that they wouldn't boo in the first place is funny as hell. :)

It is of my opinion that he should be booed.(not because of a lack of respect, but that it's part of the game) And i wouldn't think any less of Philly fans for it.

You are wrong sir. The fans in Philly gave Dawkins a standing O when he came out in the Broncos uniform.

It's a respect thing in Philly. And if you've earned it you will see it. Bottom line.

Now of course after the whistle blows all is fair game. :lol

Lets be clear. We aren't talking about a ****** like TO that was a cancer to the locker room. We are talking about a guy that came in and re-energized the franchise. Although they never won the superbowl with him, under his reign they had the best record in football.

I know it's a different sport but when Theirry Henry played with Barcelona again Arsenal in the Champions Leg. the Arsenal fans gave him a huge ovation...I mean huge. And Barca and Arsenal are pretty bitter enemies.

Like others have said...it's cause it's Philly.

Not valid at all. People THINK they know Philly because of the reputation.

The fact of the matter is they cheered Randal, Trotter, Dawkins, and some others all when coming to Philly in opposing uniforms. The fans treat their "greats" with respect until the game the starts at least.

It will be no different for number 5.

Gotta love the Jets punishment for Edwards DWI arrest. Get dressed, but no first quarter for you mister! Okay, if ya have something in place for players to use in case of too much to drink, then if they get arrested for DWI because they didn't use the service the team put in place to prevent that, then you'd think the discipline would be more ... harsh? Like maybe a 1 game suspension. I know teams play to win, but in instances like that (especially with a repeat trouble maker like Edwards) a message should have been sent to enforce that integrity is more important to this team than you are. Anyway, Edwards is on parole in Ohio for charges steming from getting into a fight with a friend of Lebron James, so he'll probably get something out of that. Plus him being in trouble so much he'll probably being looking at a multiple game suspension from the League. But last night it was cool when Rex Ryan gave Jason Taylor a cooler shower. The Dolphins just did that man wrong after all he'd done for them, so I think he deserved that win.

There wasn't much more the Jets could do to Edwards without violating the CBA. If convicted, more punishment will come from the league. In the end, the punishment will be a smaller than expected contract at the end of the year when Edwards becomes a free agent.

To put this in perspective: what would your employer do to you if you got arrested for DUI?

I know I had to fill out some agreement to conduct myself in a certain way, etc. as an employee of the state. I could very possibly be fired if I got a DUI.

But then, I could be fired for putting a bumper sticker on my car supporting any political candidate.

Rules for government employees are different though...I would probably lose my job if I got a DUI because it would affect my security clearance which is a prerequisite for my job.

The question was meant more for the other working folk.

Crappy loss yesterday Sam... My buddy is a Falcons fan so I was rooting your squad on.... That could be why you lost.

Brent Celek was just asked how the crowd will treat 5.

"I think he will be cheered at first and the booed the whole game."

Just like I said. :rock We haven't forgotten what all you did in 11 years! :duff
