No, you never said that, but nor did I say that Peyton's teams were as great as Montana's 49ers teams, etc. I just said they were underrated, and regarding the Pats, it is really not possible to say how good they would have been without Brady. The Cassel case is an argument in your favor, but I do think he was the right guy to replace Brady at the right time. The only serious drawback to those Colts teams was defense, and as we've seen in recent years, teams often win by scoring more than by stopping the other team.
Fair enough, though I do believe that even Peyton's offense was/is much less talented than what Montana and Brady have enjoyed. Other than Marvin Harrison that is. In the end I don't know how much the rest of the team plays into the comparison of the QB's in the end but I do think it's important to keep it in perspective that when judging Peyton.

As for the last point, there have been a lot of NFL players over the years. The reason I wouldn't list my top 10 is because, unless it was a list pulled out of my ass, I would have to think long and hard about it. I'm not sure either of those guys belongs in the top 10, but it probably wouldn't have bugged me if they listed them as you say, and so I might not have said anything about it. I dunno.

Josh McDaniels left Fox a lot to work with.....

Yeah that m******_____** Daniels! Ruined it in Denver! I believe in Jon Fox, he'll get it together and bring Denver back!

Should of kept Shanahan, skins beat those lousy giants with Grossman of all people, who's laughing now Denver :lecture

I hope Elway believes in Fox, cuz he should!

Nice win by the Raiders tonight! :yess:

Suddenly next week's game between Oakland and Buffalo is an interesting matchup.

Yeah the truth about these teams will be exposed

Pros: Both Defenses solid
Cons: Mediocre QB in Fitz vs. lousy QB Campbell
Pros: Good Running backs
Cons: it's still the Raiders and Bills

Before anybody mentions the 40 berger that Buffalo put on yesterday

It was against KC's Defense! for crying out Loud!! :gah::gah:

Why is no sports analyst saying it, I was so shocked why they're praising Buffalo!

There's no "D" in KC! :slap

If Raiders go after David G they'll make it to the playoffs

Explain to me why the sports analysts call Calvin Johnson of the lions
Megatron? that's an insult to Megatron if you ask me :(

How many think that after the Pats game, mr. Ochocinco should've torn is Jersey off and put on a Dolphins Jersey Jeez, he did absolutely nothing to help them! and Henne kept throwing to Marshall? did they forget about Reggie and Fasano, WTH! Marshall can't be the only star receiver right? :pfft:

Fellow teammate Roy Williams nicknamed Johnson "Megatron", due to his large hands being similar to that of the towering Decepticon. The nickname caught on well with fans.

See above.

this is unfortunate since Broncos are my favorite team and it was really hard to root for them when the bastard mcdaniels was running the team

:exactly::lecture:exactly: hopefully after a couple good drafts the Broncos will be playoff contenders

Fox certainly strikes me as a more level-headed guy, who is willing to demonstrate leadership and work with what he's got instead of throwing a hissy fit and tossing out the guys he doesn't get along with. I don't know all the ins-and-outs, but apart from Peppers and a couple other guys here and there, Carolina struck me as having weak collections of players over the last few years. General Manager-type issues. I've seen Fox coach against the Saints twice a year every year he was there, and I thought he was surely a smart guy who knew how to manage his team.

1. It makes me jealous and bitter towards him :dunno

2. And yeah, I judge him just like you judge me when I criticized Peyton Manning ;)

1. Which just makes you a petty individual. At least you exposed yourself for who you are.

2. I judged you about Peyton Manning? It's as simple as this karamazov80, you made a statement proclaiming Manning was "over hyped." I as well as others called you on it and you've been back peddling ever since. You made an irrational statement and I responded. Nothing more, nothing less. And somehow now you're turning this around by saying I judged you. :lol

LULZ I haven't back-pedaled a bit. I still say Manning is over-rated, and have explained why ad nauseum. Don't know why you're getting so offended by the Brady hair comment, though. Sorry if he's your cousin or something :lol

I wasn't judging you, I was questioning your reasoning on calling Peyton overrated or over-hyped. Just football discussion really.
Nah, I was responding the Dibiase-lite over here.

Don't take things out of context. It's not the hair. It's judging others on what they have and what you don't. By the way, why are checking out a dude's hair?

Remind me not to go into an interview room with you. :wave

Okay, I just need to rehash how bad this offense was.

FINAL

Vikings....17
Chargers..24

~77 plays Chargers, 43 plays Vikings
~39 total yards passing for Vikings
~2 yards passing in the second half

Our local columnist Jim Souhan in the Star Tribune wrote,

"Remember Brad Childress' "Kick-Ass Offense?" In a 24-17, season-opening loss at San Diego on Sunday, new Vikings offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave unveiled the "Bounced Pass Offense." McNabb threw for 39 yards, or fewer than a lot of quarterbacks this weekend gained on one play."

"Poor planning prompted him to waste 37 of those yards in the first half, leaving only 2 -- that's a 2 followed by a decimal point and as many zeros as you like -- for the second half. He could have presented a yard each as a gift to Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, but Khloe would have been out of luck."

:lol:rotfl:lol

Seriously Bill Musgrave, open up the playbook! It's okay to throw down the field in the modern NFL.

They better beat the Bucs Sunday.

I don't get why you seem to be taking things personally and are resorting to pot-shots over a throw-away, tongue-in-cheek comment, but, whatever you need to do.
