I've got Jordy and Jennings starting tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I would normally never start two WRs from the same team (especially with the diversity that GB has), but this week is a bye-week for most of my starters (5 out of 8). I've got nothing to lose at this point.

As a Raiders fan I'm okay with this trade even though we overpaid. Our track record with 1st round picks over the last 10 years has been spotty at best. So far, only two of those picks have turned into stars: McFadden and Asomugha....the verdict is still out on McClain.

Hell, I would gladly package any combination of 2 or 3 of the remaining 7 for Palmer.

As for Palmer being on his last legs.....keep these in mind:

Kurt Warner...was much oldere than Palmer
Jim Plunkett...1 year older than Palmer and had been out of the league 1 year.
Daryle Lamonica

All of these guys had been written off as past there prime, etc and proved everyone wrong.

I say give Carson a chance before he's written off.

I liked this trade. The Raiders owed a trade like this to the fans. With Boller as a starter we were looking at another losing season. We could not just accept that. Nine yrs is enough!

As for Palmer being washed up. Well Cinn had a bad record last season but Palmer threw for almost 4000 yards and 26 TDs. Yes he had 20 Ints but the Team was all on his shoulders. Hell he made Ocho look somewhat respectable last season. Brady can't even do that this yr. (I am not saing Palmer is Brady) The Team was 10-6 the yr before that. In all of Palmers healthy season he throws for near 4000 yards and 20+ TDs. I like this trade a lot and think that we have upgraded our QB position by a lot, thats including a healthy Campbell.

Part of me thinks the refs are pulling for Washington being that even the commentators saw a Washington foul that they didn't call. But almost every 3rd Washington down Carolina gets a penalty.

I took Atlanta in my pick-em league. I just had a feeling once Det lost one they would go though a bad stretch right away.
