Garrard told the Raiders he is having back surgery and unavailable.

The search continues....but Campbell said today he'll be back in 6 weeks. That's a tad bit optimistic to me considering he broke his clavicle in his throwing arm.

Whats funny how often they say 6 weeks for clavicle, even with surgery thats risky. 8 weeks seems realistic for quick return.

On and I have broken mine 3 times so this comes from experience.

I heard a wacky interview with Marshall today. I was just telling my wife. That guy clearly isn't right in the head. I think he's in a bad place right now.

Last night's game. . .man, that was hard to watch. I did enjoy the kick return by Hester, though. He really is phenomenal.

It's been described here locally as one of the biggest embarrassments in Vikings history along with the 41-0 demolition at the hands of the New York Giants in the 2000 NFC Championship game. :slap :(

adam schefter tweeted this:

Carson Palmer to the Raiders now official. Compensation expected to be a 1 in 2012 and a conditional 1 in 2013.

Complete waste of time. Mike Brown WILL NOT trade Palmer. He's content letting Palmer waste away and trying to prove his point. He doesn't care that he could trade Palmer and help his team out.

Wow, did Mike Brown die or is someone else in Cincy making the decisions now?

Jay Glazer is reporting Bengals agree to trade Palmer to Oakland for 2012 #1 draft pick and a conditional pick.:horror

Maybe not. ESPN is reporting Palmer is getting traded to Raiders for 2012 1st round pick and a conditional 2013 1st round pick.

Two first rounders (potentially) seems steep... Good time to bring a new QB in though. KC, Bye, Denver... then SD. So Palmer will have some time to get in shape and learn a little of the playbook before the Charger game..

OVER PAYMENT HOLY SHIET. 2 1st round picks would have been fair 5 years ago for Palmer...now? OMG. They could have had Kyle Orton for like a 6th rounder.

being a die hard raider fan my entire life I agree it is a bit too much for carson, but hopefully he can resurrect his career in Oakland and the raiders can finally have a good QB again.....cause nobody has come close since Rich "The Cannon" Gannon :D

Raiders are definietly going all in this year...

From Yahoo sports:

"The deal makes Oakland's 2012 draft very interesting — not only did they give up their 2012 third-rounder when they selected Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor(notes) in the 2011 supplemental draft, but they will also have traded away their first-round, second-round, fourth-round, and seventh-round picks for 2012 in various other deals. The second-rounder left in a draft weekend trade with the New England Patriots, the fourth-rounder was for Jason Campbell(notes), and the seventh-rounder was for former Seattle Seahawks linebacker Aaron Curry(notes). Add in the third-rounder sacrificed for Pryor, and the Raiders might as well go fishing next April.

Of course, that's not entirely true -- they'll get compensatory picks for losing veterans like Nnamdi Asomugha, Zach Miller, and Robert Gallery - but it's obvious that the 4-2 Raiders, who are currently in second place behind the San Diego Chargers in the AFC West, are going all out to win in a 2011 season that has been marked by the loss of Al Davis."
