Now if they recover what was a good onside kick would you post that?

Of course IF it works he's a genius and there's no post deriding his decision.

However, based on how an onside kick went earlier in the game (unsuccessful) and the fact that his defense had all the momentum going for them and 2 TO with 4 minutes and change logic would dictate kicking deep. Giving the Packer offense a short field just wasn't a good idea.

Adrian Peterson carted off and replaced with second round bust Toby Gerhart.

Minnesota never should have let Chester Taylor walk.

When did Romo start holding again for kicks?

Shanahan gave Dallas a gift with that time out. Romo signaled for one, and Dallas would have gotten penalized for not having a time out.

Bingo. Raheem seems to be pulling these calls out of his rump as he goes along.

You don't give a backup RB a $12.5 million deal, with $7 million guaranteed like the Bears did. You could tell he was worn down some when he left the Vikes.

And that was proven when Taylor rushed for only 267 yards on 112 carries for a 2.4 yard average in 2010 and was released by the Bears in final cuts on September 3, 2011.

Well...yeah, now that move looks good. :lol

I just remember Gerhart missing a blitz pickup his rookie year and thinking Minny should have spent the money to keep Taylor.

We need to spend our money for more productive players via free agency but more importantly we need to draft better after the first round. You can draft Gerhart in the 3rd/4th round, not the 2nd. It's a real shame on what's going on here in Minneapolis. :monkey2

Minneapolis used to be able to find gems at running back. While none of them were studs like Adrian Petersen, Robert Smith, Michael Bennett, Onterrio Smith, and Mewelde Moore were all pretty damn good in the games the played. Gerhart, not so much.

PREDICTION

Oakland.…..38
Minnesota..24

FINAL
Oakland......27
Minnesota...21

1. Mission accomplished! :yess: Do enough to lose without humiliating yourself and keep that top 5 draft pick intact.

2. It's hard to believe this was the same team that was one play away from going to the Super Bowl 2 years ago.

3. You know it's a bad sign when you count the number of good players on your team on 1 hand as opposed to the bad ones.

A) Adrian Peterson
B) Percy Harvin
C) Jared Allen

That's it, that's all we have!

4. Hire a f'n GM!

5. Looking at the rest of the standings, we might be the second worst team in the NFL behind Indianapolis.

I'm not a fan of the Bills, but it was nice seeing them with a bit of a renaissance earlier this year after having a pretty crappy team for the last decade or so. Too bad it seems to have been short lived.

Yeah, I kind of root for underdogs who have had a bad go of it......but there are exceptions. :lol

I'll always root for the Bills after 4 consecutive Super Bowl losses. :monkey2

Minnesota Vikings

Thirty-five seasons and counting since last Super Bowl. (1976)

Only three of the 28 franchises that existed in the 1976 season have waited longer for a Super Bowl than the Vikings: Kansas City (1969), New York Jets (1968) and Detroit (eternity).

I know people are saying the Bills are falling off...but...people need to start giving Miami some credit. The defense is playing lights out now. Granted they haven't played the strongest teams the last few weeks but the defense is clicking and the offense has been getting chunk yardage. I still hope they have the chance at a good QB in the draft but it's nice to them playing well.
