Actually, Rivers is one of the top QBs in the league...........until this year. He's been terrible in 2011.

Yeah, he hasn't won any championships but most NFL analysts put him in the upper echelon of QBs: Brady, Peyton Manning, Brees, Rothliesberger, Rodgers, and Rivers.

He is still putting up a ton of yards but they are winning becaue they keep turning the ball over.

And really how many QBs have really done much playoffs wise outside Manning, Brady, Bree's and Rothlesburger.

Oh and yeah last year SD was statistically the best Offense but couldn't stop anyone on special teams.

Rivers has been uneven this year, but has put up monster numbers over the last few years. In my observation, he's definitely considered to be on par with Brees. The analysts haven't been keen to put those guys on a par with Peyton, Brady, and the newly anointed god of QBs Rodgers because of their tendency to make bad decisions and throw INTs at inopportune times I guess. But he's definitely been one of the top 5 or 6 QBs in the league consistently.

I've followed the Chargers closely for the past 5-6 years. So much wasted talent. They've had excellent teams but never could put it together. Rivers is a top flight QB but he's having a down year obviously.

One has to also consider this will be head coach Norv Turner's last year if the Chargers keep sliding.

Eagles offensive back ups win the game!

I take that back. The Eagles defense REALLY won the game. Now if only they would have showed up in the 5 games the birds lost in the 4th quarter. This would be a whole other season.

I will enjoy watching them play out the season. I'm already looking forward to next year. But who knows? They still have a shot I guess.
