Mike, the Saints look good tonight of course, but their defense worries the crap out of me. They only look as good as they do because the Lions were forced to start throwing early.

Yeah, the defense worries me too. They're focusing so much on guarding Calvin Johnson that free safety Malcom Jenkins keeps running back and forth in the secondary. C'mon defense! Johnson isn't the only Lion player on the field. Let's play it tighter. You're still up by 14 points. But the Lions have had the knack of coming back in the 4th quarter this season. Don't let it happen tonight! PLEASE!

The lack of composure on the part of the Lions has to be very discouraging to their fans. That's a reflection of the coaching IMO.

And what a stupid play by Jordan :lol Dammit Saints defense!

Wow! One offensive penalty after another for these "lions"! Su doesn't even HAVE to be in the game, and you idiots keep shooting yourselves in the foot! Pushing an official? C'mon!

...and that's the game! Saints 31 Lions 17.

The Lions really did it to themselves tonight. Too many penalties, loss of composure. Not enough production that brought points. It looks like the negative influence of Su carries on to some of the Lions players even when Su isn't playing. There were at least three penalties for unecessary roughness. Even one for pushing a referee! Play with poise. Not anger.

The Saint on the other hand are setting records left and right! They just said that Jimmy Graham has the most receiving yards by a tight end through the first 12 games of a season in the N.F.L. since 1970! :yess:

Then, there's my favorite player, Drew Brees. One passing record after another. He's not concerned about the records, and "it's all about winning" as he just said.

Now the Saints are 9-3, and in a big lead over the Falcons in the N.F.C. South. :)

Well, it was a combination of both in my opinion. Yeah, the Saints defense blew some plays, but not all of them. The defense played well enough to beat the Lions. Yes, they did focus mostly on guarding Calvin Johnson and they were able to do that. Add in the mental mistakes, and unsportsmanlike conduct plays by the Lions, and that killed them too. Yeah, football is a very emotional game. But you also must have the restraint to go through with the plays and not react in an immature way that harms your team's success on the field.

But I will agree with you that the Saints beat the Lions. Just as it shows on the scoreboard. :wave

PREDICTION

Denver….....16
Minnesota...13

Tim Tebow is coming to Minneapolis! :panic:.......:lol

1. The Broncos will win because of their solid defense, not because of Tim Tebow.

2. The Vikings have all but laid down and no Adrian Peterson.

3. Just keep the top 5 draft pick intact.

:viking:viking:viking

FINAL
Denver….....35
Minnesota...32

Well, I was wrong on #1 for today. Tebow made some plays to win that game.

This is what 2-10 teams do. They find a way to lose these types of games.

We are tied with St. Louis for the 2nd worst record in the league. What an embarrassing year. :slap

On the bright side they'll end up with a really good pick.:)

The Patriots will probably end up with a gaudy 13-3 record, lose in the Divisional round, and end up picking close to #28. Knowing Belichick he'll probably trade it anyway.:lol

Bro, our worst season ever was 3-13 in the early 80s. We have a good shot to beat it. :slap

I'll take that #2 pick and choose that LT out of USC to protect Ponder for the next 10 years. :yess:

Hey, what happened in your Patriots/Colts game? Last time I checked it was 31-3 and then finished 31-24. Was it close or just garbage TDs by the Colts?
