RE the Broncos Matt Prater...I dunno, tattoos on kickers just look weird to me.
I really just don't see anyone beating the Packers in regular season. Chiefs, Chicago and Detroit left. Two teams with no offense or QBs right now and one team that's falling apart. Detroit will have the best chance because they'll be playing for that last wild card I believe.
Bears defense has played insane today. Hats off to them.
Tebow time has started.
But like I said, that's his mouth, not his hits. And Goodell is a jack-off. As a fan, I feel he's spit in the face of the fans who have loved this sport and have made it the success it has become, just so he could make it "more exciting" to the casual viewers he's targeting. Every year rules come out that tie the defenders hands even more so than before and protect the offensive stars of the game, but it seems nothing is being done to protect the defensive players and make it more exciting on that side of the ball. I mean how many receivers shove off every game of every week and don't get flagged, but you see a defensive pass interference call that makes you scratch your head? And stupid crap like the captain patches on the uniforms, and now the same Super Bowl logo every season. What was wrong with the way things were before? I respect the organizations that say "screw you, we're not wearing those captain patches". But anyway, back to Harrison. You have to at least somewhat respect the fact that he at least isn't pretending to be something he's not. You know he's going to get up and tell it the way he feels, and yes sometimes it makes me, even as a Steelers fan, cringe, but I'd rather have a guy that is what he is.
And believe it or not, he actually does a LOT of charity work around the Pittsburgh area. He started doing something with MS and got partnered up with a teenage girl crippled with the disease, and became really close friends with her. It was kinda weird seeing that mean looking dude sitting there with this pretty little girl in a wheel chair.
Yes, but he's a grown man. He knows the rules, he breaks them, then he calls the head of the league a puppet. Seriously..act your ____ing age and play the sport fairly just like 99% of the other players are. When you are making the kind of money these adults are making, there is no excuse. It's like the Redskins fans defending the suspension of their players for failing 3 drug tests. It's against the US law, it's against NFL rules...don't ____ing do it. It's so simple....play fair, set a good example for the youth in this country. Don't be ____ing ____ about it. You get payed 2 billions a year...go play the sport, play fairly, set a good example....seems simple enough to me.
As a manager of 16 people...if one of my employees called me a "puppet"
, "crook" and "devil" they'd be out on their ass so fast.
Maybe it's cause I'm 37 years old, and older than some of you guys, but as an adult male you have to show respect. And if you want respect it has to be earned. Mouthing off at your boss and posing with guns, and saying if he was on fire you wouldn't even piss on him to put the fire out...well...you have some serious issues.
I see what you're saying, and as a non-Steeler fan I can see where a lot of people are probably fed up with him, but I've been a fan of that guy since he was a little known special teamer in 2004. And he's pretty much gone from barely known, to a solid up and comer, to a household name in a very short time span. If you check back on him his attitude cost him a major scholarship at a big school, and that's why he played at Kent State (which any fan of the game should know that's where Jack Lambert went, but that by no means is any indication that they're a solid college-to-pro school). The guy is actually a good role model in the sense he's shown that if you never give up and keep working hard for your goals, then great things can happen, but that's where the true role models in a kid's life (parents, older sibling or such) should step in and say "just don't mind his public speaking".Yes, but he's a grown man.
