See, you are a classless idiot. You have obvious dislike for the man and want to spew garbage all over here. The guys that are on here daily are pretty civil, you get on here like a 13 year old Internet gangster with a 1,000 mile buffer zone for talk that you wouldn't say to another human being's face. Harrison, as well as any other player, are smart enough to play the game professionally, but you accuse the man of having a mental disability because he has one questionable hit since during the '10 regular season. How is this hit worthy of the garbage you're saying and him being suspended? And other than today, when were you on here since complaining about a 3rd string QB beating the Falcons?

Wow, he made it to week 14 without anything questionable.:lol The bottom line is that he is a repeat offender. I don't agree with a suspension, but really at what point does he get how to play within the parameters of the rules. Hit McCoy lower and everything is fine, hit with the crown of your helmet and you have everyone talking about how dirty you are again.

Repeat offender? His first hit like this in over 17 games. How is that repeat? He got over $150,000 in fines last season for hits a small group proclaimed to be dirty, to which several coaches and players stuck up for him, even some of the ones he supposedly laid those hits on. The problem is that small group has too much power. They hand out the punishment, but the League still answers the appeals on them. How's that fair. Now people read articles and believe it instead of seeing for themselves and coming up with their own opinions. Every player has "questionable" hits or plays, but not everyone gets the attention Harrison gets.

Jeff Triplett and his crew may be the worst in the NFL. This game between the Pats-Skins has been a joke for both sides.

Problem is though, whenever there's smoke there's fire.

He must have done some things to get the reputation he has...it just doesn't magically appear. Players get good/bad reputations for a reason...based upon previous history/plays.

Bro, I like you but I'm going to have to disagree with you in this case.

Is it possible that you're a hardcore Steelers fan and your objectivity has been clouded by your fandom for the home team? :dunno

And I'm asking you in a respectful way, not in a bleephole way. :1-1:

I think that's the obvious answer...if you look at any of his late hits and say there's nothing wrong with them then you have blinders on. The guy has said in interviews that fines don't affect him at all...he'll just go out and hit harder. Obviously the next step is suspension. It's like dealing with a toddler...if one punishment doesn't work it's time to try a new one. Especially glaring when he had those comments towards the head of the NFL...clearly has no respect for the man.

Anytime you go into an interview and call the head of your organization a "crook" and a "puppet" you have issues.

It seems like more and more PI penalties are thrown for Pass Incomplete instead of Pass Interference.

I absolutely love Wes Welker beating the hell out of Deangelo Hall today. I've always thought he was the most overrated corner to ever play the game and absolutely hated his ass when he was a Falcon.

On a side note. Cam Newton is keeping Atlanta in the game, unfortunately the Falcons are taking themselves back out :lol

I'm just like any other fan of their team and I stick up for the players on these forums. And just like a fan of a specific team, you see things other fans don't. I'm not saying everyone of the guy's hits is not without concern, but it's his mouth that got him this reputation, not those hits. He was actually worse when he was more of a raw talent coming in to start when Porter left. In '07, '08 and '09 he was fine, but the thing is, he's more refined since then. He just started getting slammed with fines by the League last season and Goodell developed a hard-on for the man because of his comments during press conferences. The League has too much power with the discipline being handed down to these guys.

The problem is with Harrison, he's now one of the most known players on one of the most known teams. If he was a starting LB for the Browns or something, would he have this attention? The guy became popular fast and doesn't really know how to be an attention magnet like he is. It's like he's a victim of his own success. But I wouldn't want the guy to change his style, and he said he'll go hit harder, not play dirtier.

And even on a lot of the sports sites, the feelings are mixed as to whether he should get a suspension or not. Me, I say why? Like I said, every player is going to do something that is questionable, but some people's reasoning as to why he should is ridiculous. People call him a head hunter, but why pick the 13th game of the season to "head-hunt" an ineffective QB on one of the worst teams in the League? When he came back against Baltimore, he had many viable chances to take out the QB of their biggest threat, but nothing. And that was with 3 sacks in that game. I understand the guy is hated, but c'mon, for people to call him the things they are and demand he get suspended for the reasons they're giving, it's ridiculous. The guy is one of the most destructive pass rushers in a long time, and he's having a lot of success, on a team that a lot of people have grown to hate, and just like any other player with a lot of success, it doesn't come without the criticism and ridicule. I just say give a viable argument and don't resort to grade school tactics to get your point across is all. (Not insinuating you guys are doing that. Just making that clear)

But like I said, that's his mouth, not his hits. And Goodell is a jack-off. As a fan, I feel he's spit in the face of the fans who have loved this sport and have made it the success it has become, just so he could make it "more exciting" to the casual viewers he's targeting. Every year rules come out that tie the defenders hands even more so than before and protect the offensive stars of the game, but it seems nothing is being done to protect the defensive players and make it more exciting on that side of the ball. I mean how many receivers shove off every game of every week and don't get flagged, but you see a defensive pass interference call that makes you scratch your head? And stupid crap like the captain patches on the uniforms, and now the same Super Bowl logo every season. What was wrong with the way things were before? I respect the organizations that say "screw you, we're not wearing those captain patches". But anyway, back to Harrison. You have to at least somewhat respect the fact that he at least isn't pretending to be something he's not. You know he's going to get up and tell it the way he feels, and yes sometimes it makes me, even as a Steelers fan, cringe, but I'd rather have a guy that is what he is.

And believe it or not, he actually does a LOT of charity work around the Pittsburgh area. He started doing something with MS and got partnered up with a teenage girl crippled with the disease, and became really close friends with her. It was kinda weird seeing that mean looking dude sitting there with this pretty little girl in a wheel chair.

There's winning ugly and then there was this mess. I can't wait to see Tebow light up this secondary next week for 400.:ohbfrank:

Every single one of his fines was deserved and clearly violated the rule. Anyone can debate whether or not they thought it was fair or not, but you can't debate a rule that is in place. Simple solution = DON'T LEAD WITH YOUR HEAD INTO SOMEONE ELSES. With this most recent hit he didn't even try to lower his shoulder. He could very easily have hit McCoy in his chest, and if he thought McCoy was a runner like he used as his excuse, well then even more so why didn't he try to lower his shoulder? He deserves to be suspended because he honestly can't grasp the concept. He didn't get suspended last year after how many fines? It doesn't matter how many he's had this year at some point you've got to try something else if he can't grasp the simple concept of a RULE. It's like he thinks he's some kind of pioneer that is standing up to the man and going to get the rule changed. It just isn't going to happen. Others have adapted why can't he? The only answer is that he is really really dumb, and just doesn't comprehend it, which if you've ever played football is just the reality, there are a lot of stupid ____ing idiots on these teams from high school through the pros. Being a pro doesn't make you a professional. Seriously read this guys past and tell me he's got a lick of sense.

Youth...

His high school football ability was great, but his lack of maturity at times was a struggle. Harrison did not pay attention to his grades or college entrance tests, and by his senior year he had become disruptive to his football team. Early in his senior year, Coventry staff had to suspend him for two games for challenging an assistant coach to a fight. After he returned from his suspension, in his next game, he began the game by carrying 3 times for nearly 100 yards and 2 touchdowns. After his second TD, he ran down the opposing team's sideline, and was ejected and later suspended for one game for making obscene gestures to the fans. Harrison was in court soon thereafter, after he shot a BB gun in the school locker room towards a defensive coach. He pled guilty to a minor charge and was able to return to school to finish his senior year.

Adulthood...

In March 2008, Harrison was arrested and charged with simple assault and criminal mischief stemming from a domestic altercation with his girlfriend, Beth Tibbott.[29] On April 3, 2008 the district attorney dropped all charges because Harrison had completed anger management counseling and psychological counseling.

On May 23, 2009, Harrison's child sustained an injury to his thigh when the family's pit bull became agitated and bit him. The boy's mother,[36] Beth Tibbott, who had let the dog out of his cage, was also bitten when she tried to intervene. The dog also bit the player's massage therapist, who needed three stitches. Mr. Harrison's agent, William Parise, said the boy's injuries were "serious but certainly not life-threatening.[37] On Tuesday the 26th, the child was released from the hospital

And these are just a few of what's documented. Couple that with all his fines, with all his absurd comments about his boss, about the league, when he rejected the President's offer to visit the white house with his team, etc. etc. etc.

Seriously you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that this guy is a top class ____ up. What is it going to take for him to learn? He hasn't yet at any level. You've got to try something so I say why not a suspension?
