I was so freaking tired last night, but I had to stay up to see Brees break the record. It was worth it. Those are reasons we watch the games, to see great people like that get the recognition they deserve for everything they've done. Congrats to Drew Brees!!!

HIs postgame comments in the classroom were classy, as he said that while there is only one name in the recordbook, it took the team to get him there. Not only a great player, Brees is a great person, and a true ambassador of the game.

I hear next he will be working on fixing starvation and will soon end hunger across the world. A real class act. :lecture

Yep much like people crying about what the Pats did years ago when they kept running offense when games were blow outs even running 2 min offense.

You are correct sir! It was an incredible night. My favorite player broke the passing yards in a single season! My favorite team beat our rivals...those "dirty birds" :monkey4! My favorite team won the N.F.C. South Division title for the second time in three years. :yess:

I didn't need to "pinch myself" because I knew I wasn't dreaming! :wink1:

The Saints and Drew Brees did it once again! Yeah, some reporters are already pouting about how the Saints "ran up the score" so Drew could get the record. They're pulling for straws trying to turn a positive story into something ugly, or negative in any way that they can. Drew Brees IS a class act, and a great all-around person. Dedicated family man, and humanitarian. Living down here in the New Orleans area I have seen his acts of caring and kindness for our community from him and his wife. They really do care about where they live and everyone else here. Drew is a "selfless" guy that said "we", "the team" and "everyone" more than once last night. He said this record was not about just one person (himself), but it was about everyone involved that helped him reach it.

All of those reasons make him my all-time favorite N.F.L. player. Hands down. :)

Can a guy not be truly excited about his favorite team and player? :dunno Kind of a lame thing to poke fun at IMO.

Damn Mike, tone down the Saints-homerism some there. Drew Brees is an awesome player and true class act, but he didn't cure cancer or anything like that. At the end of the day, we need to remember this is just a game, and you need to post in here other than when the Saints have locked up a play-off spot and Brees breaks records.
