^^ How old are you, 14?

No...I'm not 14 I am 40. No, I don't only post here during the playoffs. I post at other times during the off season and during the season. Just like everyone else here, I have to right to post at any time. You seem to get off on making fun of me "SixMillionDollarManGuy" and "mfoga", and then laugh and pat yourselves on the back for it. Why? I am a serious fan of my favorite player, and my favorite team. I not some "band wagon" Saints fan new to the fold. I've stuck with my team through the embarassing tough times, and the good times now. I have been a fan since I was 7, in 1978 when Archie Manning was the Saints quarterback. A great QB, on a bad team for the most part. I'll always be a fan of the Saints.

Thank you for your kind words "The Josh". I will keep posting about my team. I do not post "play by play". Just a few times about a few great plays during the game. Every fan has the privilege and the right to be proud of their team. Had the shoe been on the other foot so to speak, in the game last night and Matt Ryan was going for the passing record you can't tell me that they wouldn't have done the same thing the Saints did. Give their quarterback the opportunity to break the passing record in front of a sold-out home crowd in their home stadium.

I've seen other guys say much worse than I have on here ribbing others about their teams. I believe I will keep what I say civilized for the most part. This board and thread is an outlet to be able to freely express ourselves, and I am doing just that. Yeah, I said the Saints "slaughtered" the Falcons. So what! They did. The Falcons played very poorly, and could not do much if anything with the two turnovers they got. They committed costly penalties, and a turnover for a "pick 6" score that Malcolm Jenkins ran back for a TD. They did it to themselves, and then whine about it when they are soundly beaten. The Falcons whined about the Saints "running up the score". Again, if the Falcons were winning that big in the Superdome they would not hesitate to keep scoring until the last second of the game. Yeah, I know about the "unwritten rule" between coaches about not running up the score. But I back up Coach Payton, and would have done the same thing if my quarterback was that close to the passing record, and had the opportunity to break it.

The Falcons will likely return to the Superdome for the third time this season in two weeks. The Saints WILL beat them again for the third time this season, and knock them out of the playoffs. Yeah, I'm predicting that. If the Saints happen to lose, and that is VERY unlikely, I won't "disappear" from this thread.

There's nothing wrong with me being seriously passionate about the team I have loved for so long. I'm not about to stop now. The Saints have proven they are a GREAT team in winning their first Super Bowl two seasons ago. I know in my heart that they have the skills, and desire to win another one this season! I am looking forward to the rematch with the Packers in the playoffs.

GEAUX SAINTS! TWO DAT! :yess:

Wow Mike, you do have some Jedi mind powers with all of those predictions. There's nothing wrong with being a passionate fan, but when you start posting on here that the Saints "WILL" and "are" going to do this and that, then you're the one making yourself into an ass. Not a damn one of us can guarantee any team is going to do anything in the play offs. Just like Marshawn Lynch PROVED to your beloved Saints this past January, when I'm pretty sure you KNEW they WOULD win that one, too.

See, I'm a Steelers fan, but I'm not arrogant enough to post that they WILL beat this team or ARE going to do this or that. What I do say is that they DO have the talent and capability to go back to the Super Bowl and win it IF they play up to their potential through the play offs, BUT anything can happen.

Belichick's Wednesday press conferences usually don't disappoint. He was bringing the surly today.

Reporter: As a defensive coach, though, with all the rules that have been made the last few years, would Marino have thrown for far more yards [under the current rules]? If Marino was playing now, do you think he'd have thrown for 5,500 yards?

Belichick: "Yeah, I don't know. If if's and buts were candy and nuts, everyday would be Christmas. I don't know. I have no idea."

:rotfl

I don't get it. :dunno How is posting that my team WILL and ARE going to win being an "ass"? Explain that to me "sprig0701"? Every Saints fan that I know of down here has an optimistic view on our team winning. Many of them besides me say the same thing. I listen to a local talk radio station here, and there's a show with Saints fans calling in and predicting the games. Most all of them say the Saints WILL win, and they have for the most part this season. They've proven that they "can" and "will" win games by winning them. They have won 12 out of the 15 games they've played this season. Many of them by a large scoring margin. I am not being arrogant, I am being positive and optimistic about the Saints. I am not the ONLY one on here that says their team will win, and are going to do well during the season.

Yes, the Saints DO have the talent and capability to win games, and they have done that. I understand what you're saying about stating it that way for your team (Steelers) in the way that you do it. I am having a positive attitude about the Saints in the playoffs. Yes, anything can happen. The shocking loss to the "winless" St. Louis Rams proved that to the Saints this season. They have said, as we have as fans, that that game was a real "wake up call", and the Saints have gone on to win seven games in a row now. Because any team, even the "invincible" Green Bay Packers can have an "off day". The Kansas City Chiefs showed them that by beating them, and ending their perfect undefeated season.

Don't remind me of the Seattle playoff debacle. That's in the past now, and the Saints defense has proven itself to have learned from that mistake. They have kept most running backs to very limited rushing yards this season. They've played better in the secondary, and blocked passes, and turned even some completed passes into defensive scores like the one from Julio Jones this past game on Monday night.

I'm not changing how I talk about my team. I'm not changing what I say about them. I will remain optimistic about them like I always have. I believe right now that the Saints WILL beat the Panthers this Sunday at home in our Superdome, and go undefeated at home with a record of 8-0. :D

It's called being humble. "MY team slaughtered your team", "If they meet again the Saints WILL beat the Falcons. I know this". You're the only one posting that crap in here. Nothing wrong with having faith in them, but you're an ass and you've just recently started posting again after they're already in the play offs. This is the "NFL thread", not the "JediMike71's man-love for Drew Brees when he's doing well thread".

And stop writing books about how great the Saints are rubbing your ******-ism in people's faces. Take Brees out and they're no better than the Colts without Manning, and though Brees is good we know that and don't need you writing an unofficial biography about it after every game.

You about have some people wishing they were the Aints again so you quit with your ****** bag comments, looking like a "gifted" kid typed them out.

:exactly:
I must have posted three or so pages ago...such an "unpredictable" sport.

Yes, it is an N.F.L. thread. The Saints are an N.F.L. team. You didn't write the rules for this thread. I can post anytime that I want about whatever I want to talk about that is N.F.L. related. Douch-ism isn't even a word. I'm not an ass. I am a big fan of my home team. You're just assuming from your own opinion that other people in this thread wish that my team was horrible again with your reference to the Aints of over 20 plus years ago. That's a long-gone nightmare. I'm not a a gifted person like you say. I post with quotes to get my point across. That is an insult to what you call gifted people about the words in quotes. You don't know if Drew Brees was taken out of the picture that the Saints would fall apart. They have a very capable back-up quarterback with Chase Daniel. He's had to come in for Brees on rare occasions and the team did not fall apart. I can post what I want to say, my opinion, as long as I abide by the rules of the thread and board.

You're posting your opinion, and I have the right to post mine just like you do. You and I won't see eye to eye about anything so it seems. Bye the way, I am not going to use "quotes" or quotation marks anymore. What you consider crap in your own opinion, is praise and support for my favorite player and team. I'm not going to just stop that because you don't like it, or the way that I do it.

GEAUX SAINTS! :clap

Why does the pic of Brees with his linemen have one missing? Does Drew think that lineman isn't important?:lol

:lol He's behind Brees. I remember seeing them take the picture live Monday and thought the same thing and then Brees moved.

How short is the lineman? Its not like Brees is a giant.:lol

He's pretty big to be hiding at 6'3 and 306. He can actually be seen in this one.
