Really don't think Giants fans should be talking so much. You won a very weak division and should make it out of the first round before talking. If we see them in SF I'm sure the D will knock the taste right out of Eli's mouth.

Not to mention Eli is going to bring it and he has oodles of experience in the playoffs.

He's 4-3 in the playoffs. All 4 of the wins come from their run to a championship where they had a horseshoe lodged firmly up their ass. Unless they find said horseshoe, I don't see them going past the divisional round.

I'm going to be 100% honest and say I don't think I've ever seen a game that Eli has won that didn't involve some lucky ass retarded ass miracle freak accident slip up gift from the gods type play.

I really hope your right!:pray: but the problem I have with that is Alex Smith has to score, even if the defense does there job in a playoff situation!

J.H. has got to prepare smith and make sure he knows that the Giants know if they lose, they're out! I have no doubt the SF defense will bring it, but can Smith bring it in a playoffs, in a do or die situation, that's what worries me. :slap Otherwise, it might have to depend on Aker's leg and defensive turn overs.

Smith will be fine. I don't expect him to be Rodgers or Brees but he will do well enough to put points on the board while the D does its thing.

You don't think coming up as a wildcard last spot is a said horseshoe. Their backs are totally against the wall. It's really a shame I thought this was the year the Falcons could possibly make it to the NFC championship, but with Brees in the mix, I hardly doubt it.

And now with the g men, they won't even make it pass the first round.:gah:

I would like to add that S Holmes is a chump! did you see his press conference, Pittsburgh did the right thing by dumping his sorry ass, even with the SB win.

Really feel bad about Detroit's chances, It might be a shootout, but they play Brees and they're one and done.

Yeah, the Giants are a strange team. Eli seems to just toss the ball up there for grabs, but his guys seem to come down with it 95% of the time. And they're hot and cold. When the Saints played them this year, they weren't even trying. I mean, the Saints defense sucks. But you can tell that they are at least trying their damndest to win. They just aren't any good! Giants seem to have a very talented team, but sometimes don't give a ____. Sort of like the Chargers. But if they get hot at the right time--like they did in the 07-08 playoffs--then no one is safe.

:exactly::goodpost::goodpost::slap And that's why nobody wants to face a Manning in the playoffs! They always play the spoilers for my favorite teams!

niners, weren't going to make it past their spot despite the A+++ Defense, with Alex Smith.

But now those pesky G men could ruin my hopes of a great GB vs Saints part 2 shootout for the NFC Championship! :monkey2

We already know we're probably going to see a Brady vs Ravens AFC Championship

The Saints won't have trouble with the Giants. They've already beaten them this season on Monday Night Football by a score of 49-24. I disagree with you karamazov80. The Saints defense does not suck. Sure they have not had as many takeaway pick 6 scores as in their Super Bowl run in 2009. But they have had some key takeaways when it counted. Plus the defensive line and secondary have played tough this season, and sent other teams to punt on a 3 and out offensive series. I have faith in the Saints defense, just like their explosive offense.

Remember I'm the optimistic Saints fan? I always remember you telling me that you're more of a pessimistic one. :wave

Pretty big talk coming from a guy whose team is making it to the playoffs for the first time in 9 years.

Why hasn't your team won your "weak division" in 9 years? :lol

You knew Homer Jethro would be showing up sooner or later.

Lechler is better.:yess:

True, but they blew it as usual, Tebow is lucky, the raiders still don't have a quality coach that could take them to the SB like Gruden, but the raiders are lucky, neither does San Diego!

Will they please fire Turner! Please so Rivers can make it to the SB:gah:

I badly want the Raiders to get in.

However, knowing them this could happen.....

Chiefs beat the Broncos and the Raiders lose to the Chargers. :horror...........:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

LMAO!....:lol:rotfl:rotfl:lol

FINAL
San Diego..38
Oakland.....26

Yup, just like I thought. The Raiders had everything lined up with the Broncos loss. It was there for the taking.

What an embarrassment, losing to a Chargers team that had nothing to play for! At home!! Typical Raiders!!! :slap

FINAL
Kansas City..7
Denver........3

1. Denver is officially known as the "back door Broncos."

2. Nice way to end the season on a 3 game losing streak.

3. I hope the Tebow slurpers know he isn't the long term future QB.

4. Good luck with the Steelers. :lol

~It was ugly but nice win by the Chiefs. They showed more heart and fire with wins over the Broncos and Packers than my gutless Vikings did at any point this season.

My team has been bad in most ways a team can be bad the last 9 years. What does that have to do with this year? I mean if we're gonna start bringing up the past can I start bringing up the 5 Super Bowls, numerous division titles, etc?

Besides can you with your team really give me any grief at all? :dunno

There's nothing wrong with your team, you have the coach at last you need since mooch! Now you just need another Montana or Young.:lecture

Too bad you can't get Luck, and because of this season's success you can't draft any quality college QB, Flynn is going to be a free agent, you better get him. :dunno

There's been plenty wrong with SF the last several years. Bad FA signings, draft picks, coaching choices, ownership getting in its own way, etc. It appears at least very very early one we may going in the right direction but I think need more pieces to be solid for years to come.

That would be awesome that's for sure but since it won't happen we will see what Alex Smith does and who else we might bring in. Maybe Smith is ready to step up and be a guy who can lead a team to the big game. We shall see what the future holds.

1. Any football fan knows a fierce pass rush can shut down any good offense, except you I guess. That's the one thing the Giants have going for them. Just ask the 18-0 Patriots from a previous Super Bowl....against the Giants.

2. You've got to love the tired old song about bringing up "how bad another team is so you shouldn't talk." I've been talking smack on that Vikings ass all season long. Just because one's own team is bad doesn't mean they're not entitled to an opinion.

3. But I guess guys like you show up on football threads when times are going good for your team.

LOL...Flynn has one good game and everone is slurping him. Do you anything about football? :lol

Weren't you the guy that was run out of here in October for making non-coherent comments? Now you come back 2 months later for the playoffs. :lol
