the fumble that the 9ers had, but the zebra ____ed it up. That would have been game.
They pretty frequently blow plays dead about the same time that one was blown dead due to forward progress. It's just that those plays don't usually result in fumbles after the whistle, so nobody cares or pays attention to it. I personally think the refs should let those plays play out more often, but it's just not very consistent.

I ____ing hate to say this. However, I will say this. The Giants these past few games have played far superior teams than what the Patriots have played. I say Giants. I hate saying it but I really think they lay it on the Pats.

Good. I hope the Giants are actually favored and expected to win.

I'm more of a bandwagon football fan, I had to root for the local team, but I could see that was some BS by the zebra.

What drop? Just before the field goal?

That was a good defensive play not a drop.

how was it not a drop? He had the ball in his gut with his hands on it. A good defensive play, but if the WR had good hands, it would have been a catch.

Rodgers :pfft: Eli is getting to Brady and Brees's level folks! you got to respect that! :lecture He could surpass Big Bro!

If Tim Coughlin had a manning as a QB in Jacksonville when he was there , I wonder how many SB's the Jags would've won...hmmmmm :dunno

It isn't like the ref could see into the future and knew that a fumble was gonna happen, though. I think it was just an overzealous officiating crew. I've seen that happen with the Saints where they call his forward progress stopped before a guy has a chance to even break free from a single tackler, and where the forward progress wasn't clearly stopped by any means.

I'm rooting for my hometown Patriots in the Super Bowl. It's going to be a tough game...I hope Brady can bounce back from todays game against the Ravens and do well against the Giants for this rematch.

I would call it an unlucky drop in the end zone. That dude will have nightmares over that drop. :lecture

gotta hate when two feet down and ball in hand isn't a touchdown. Sure he shoulda held on longer, but there should have been a review, lots of balls have counted and been held for less time. Refs also misses a penalty before cundiff's screw-up that would have been a first down. I hope Eli eats brady alive on the fifth.

That's my point. Someone can run and "touch the plane" and lose the ball and it's a score. This guy established possession in my opion and it was nothing. Weird rule but a drop. You have to hold onto the ball.

There is good news folks.. the Niners can now be a contender for top dog next season with Alex Smith, can you believe that .. GB better watch out!

How great is the NFC next season with Brees and the Saints with better defense, GB, Niners , Giants and SUPERCAM! (yeah I said it, cause Carolina is going to get that defense together in the draft)

Sorry falcons, Cowboys and maybe Eagles your NFC glory days are over with :lecture
