Nice to see a Seahawk in the Hall. :) And I think that makes way for Warren Sapp because he was at minimun as good as Cortez if not better.

We're having a great time here in Indy. The weather's cold, and wet. Cold temps, and some rain. Supposed to be clear and cold tomorrow. We want to try out the zip line at the Super Bowl Village before going in early at Lucas Oil Stadium to check it out.

I still can't believe I won a free trip to the Super Bowl...on facebook! :dunno But thrilled that I won. :yess:

All I can say is enter the sweepstakes on there, because I found out at least one of them is the real deal! :)

I'm pulling for the Giants to win. Most Saints fans are fans of the Manning family. At least we are. Me and my family will wear our Saints gear with pride at the game.

One thing I'm not getting about the awards last night is Drew Brees ran away with the OPOY, but Rodgers runs away with MVP. Think about it, they both play the same position, but they acknowledge Brees was the better offensive player by voting 47-3 for OPOY. Now, for Rodgers to run away with MVP like he did, with a 48-2 vote, there would need to be proof that the Packers needed Rodgers in there to win, but with Flynn starting week 17 while Rodgers sat, and the Packers not missing a beat in the process, IMO that showed just how good that team was, even without Rodgers. Just my 2 cents about that.

Other than that, I thought the awards would go the way they did, except I think Alex Smith should have got the come back award over Stafford. I think coming back from bad play to be a better player is more of a true come back than just finally making it through a season without any injuries.

So did anyone actually watch them last night? If so, how were they? I fell asleep at 9:00. Just a long day for me.

And about the HOF announcements, I think 2 Steelers getting in together this class killed any chance Bettis had of getting in. I don't see them putting 3 players from the same franchise, out of a total class of 7, in the HOF together. Why Parcells didn't make it, I have no idea. I thought he was a definite in myself. But kudos to the 2012 class.

Oh yeah, I actually have to agree with some of what mfoga said about the NFL maving more games over to the NFL Network next season. With a lot of cable/satellite providers not carrying it, if you get a few million fans across the country calling and complaining to these providers because they can't watch their team on Thursday because they don't carry it, and threatening to switch providers if they don't start carrying it, it forces their hands to start carrying it and strengthens the channels numbers more.

Granted, no matter how hard they try they'll never be on the same level as ESPN. It comes down to how much can you cover 1 sport. ESPN covers NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, MMA, MLS, Golf and all the collegiate sports, as well. They'll never compete with them. And having an awards show for all the League awards is like they're trying too much to be like those ESPY awards now.

Personally, I don't like a lot of crap that has been going on in the NFL since Goodell took over. Captain patches, the same Super Bowl logo every season featuring the Championship Trophy ....... this ain't Hockey! And now awards shows?

The NFL Network thing has become such a parody. Here in Maine we have Time Warner which has now had a long and contentious battle with the NFL over this channel.

Everyone got into such a tizzy when the week 17 Pats-Giants game came up a few years ago that it wouldn't be on nationally. Of course Roger made himself look good by having 3 networks and his own channel cover the game. Then the next year there was uncertainty about a Thursday Jets-Pats game which a Portland channel got to pick up due to being in the NE territory.

I'd love to have more football, but week 13 Colts-Jags games aren't going to get me or many other fans to beat down the doors for my cable operator to pick up this channel. If they make it a respectable game like Sunday night's maybe. If they did that I don't know why they wouldn't shop the package out to another network. ESPN pays through the nose for 1 game a week, I'm sure they could make a haul off of Thursday nights.

I agree they don't carry the better match-ups of the week, but carrying more games now they bound to have upset fans calling in and complaining because they don't want to miss one of their team's games, even if it's against a scrub team.

All-in-all, I think the channel is a joke and they're trying too much to bring credibility to a channel with none. Like I said, they'll never be anywhere the level of what ESPN is, no matter what they do. About the only thing I like on there is the America's Game and the Top 10 shows. Other than that, they bring in some has-beens for their analysts, the worst being that Rich Eisen. That dude is a joke. He tries too hard to be funny, which he isn't, and just makes a lot of stupid comments trying to sound cool with the people who know what they're talking about.

They do have some good analysts on there, but they're so outweighed and smothered by the one-sided, bias idiots raising their voices to mute them out that it's ridiculous. When they make valid points, they're mocked and ridiculed by those morons for not being band-wagon jumpers and going with their opinions. A lot of them you can clearly see their frustration at those people. Warren Sapp is the biggest (literally and physically) loud-mouth on there. If someone disagrees with him he raises his voice and and gets all overly animated, and cuts others off mid-sentence to voice his opinion. I'm kinda surprised no one has decked him yet.

About the only time I watch it is for the Thursday Night Games, so I guess for a lot of people they are raising the viewers numbers in that aspect.

Glad you're having a great time!!:yess: Are you going to post pics when you get back:)

I make em pretty good out of the crock pot too, then finish them off in the broiler to crisp em.

I did decide to fry them this time since I took out some oil anyway to make some homemade tortilla chips. I have some chicken fry batter from Bass Pro to use up, so its going to be good stuff.
