Decent game (at least the last 5 minutes were) but nothing I'll really remember. The lesser of two evils won so I guess I am happy. :)

Great game if you can appreciate defensive football. Great ending. This year Eli proved to me that he really is a damn good quarterback. He just doesn't do it quite the way that other great QBs do. He makes plays, and that's what it really comes down to.

I think people in the US tend to forget this is a WORLD audience. They have to pick acts that will appeal to everyone.
I know they show this all over the world, but the fact is that only folks in the U.S. really care all that much apart from watching it as a spectacle for spectacle's sake. And I can't imagine that the non-U.S. audience factors too much in the mind of the promotors' minds when they come up with the half time entertainment.

But whatever the case, the entertainment still just doesn't match up with the game, and I guess that's the thing that seems a bit disjointed to me. Even if it's rap (which I'm not a fan of), I would better understand it if it were aggressive.

Great game. It ended the way is should have, down to the last play. Though I was going for NY I would have loved to seen him make that diving catch in the endzone to win it.

Was a fun game to watch. Congrats Giants fans. :duff

Does this end the whole Brady is better than Montana debate? I think it does.

I'm a huge Montana fan, but I don't think you can fault Brady for losing 2 Super Bowls. It does take a lot to get TO the SB after all. Is this a worse loss than Montana losing to the Bills in the AFC Championship game? Also, I think Brady will probably be back for another shot soon.

At any rate, great game. Its nice to have a good game with no real vested interest in either team, a lot more relaxing that way.

Brady's career is still a long way from over, and every Superbowl he's been in has been close, but I do think Superbowl wins count. So in the final analysis, this and the previous Giants game are gonna matter in my opinion, in the sense that if he could have found a way to get the job done, he would probably be counted as greater than Montana by more than a few observers.

Thats a very naive statement. I guarantee you that the world audience is every bit on the promoters minds. Without a doubt in mind I guarantee you that.

No, Brady is a great QB. You cannot knock his skill or what he's done to be considered one of the best. I guess for me this is one more reason why I don't think he should be put over Montana.

That all being said I'll shut up because if we're talking nice about QB Eli should get some major love after tonight.

Well I'm sure it's nice to think in absolutes, but your ideas are just idle speculation as are mine unless you follow the closed-door discussions/decisions of NFL's executive and marketing team for some reason.

It's marketing 101. Look how many foreign viewers the SB attracts. It's a no brainer. :slap

A'aight. Let's follow this train of thought then.

"Initiative, a New York-based media research firm, measured the global audience for last year's Super Bowl at 93 million people, with 98 percent of those viewers in North America. That would mean roughly 2 million people outside North America watched the Super Bowl.

https://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/steve_rushin/02/03/rushin0206/

So Marketing 101 says you make important decisions on keeping people from changing the channel based on about 2% of the viewership?

I just looked that up. I stand corrected and will fully admit I was wrong. However I still maintain the target audience is a general population that is into popular music. IE Justin Beiber, Black Eyed Peas, and others acts that would make me puke. Madonna is a good choice that may appeal to far more people than my choices Breaking Benjamin or Volbeat. :lol

I think its a conversation worth having, I just don't think you can knock Brady for losing Super Bowls when Montana has lost NFC and AFC Championship games.

I personally still think Montana is better, but I don't think SB loses adversely affect the decision. The 1 more win for Montana puts him over the top for me rather than Brady's losses...as I said, Montana's got some tough losses under his belt too.

Great game! So glad to see the Giant's steam roll Brady.

As for the commercials, they were pretty bad. The Audi vampire one was good. The Yogurt one with Uncle Jessie was probably the funniest, and the Bud Light Here Wego was great!
