I just looked that up. I stand corrected and will fully admit I was wrong. However I still maintain the target audience is a general population that is into popular music. IE Justin Beiber, Black Eyed Peas, and others acts that would make me puke. Madonna is a good choice that may appeal to far more people than my choices Breaking Benjamin or Volbeat. :lol

I think the key here is to appeal to a wider North American audience, Hell, my wife watches it without me. Mission accomplished

I think its a conversation worth having, I just don't think you can knock Brady for losing Super Bowls when Montana has lost NFC and AFC Championship games.

I personally still think Montana is better, but I don't think SB loses adversely affect the decision. The 1 more win for Montana puts him over the top for me rather than Brady's losses...as I said, Montana's got some tough losses under his belt too.

I'm not knocking Brady really. The guy is a hell of a qb and worthy of the praise he gets. However, conference title games though are not Super Bowls and in the biggest game Montana lost none (and never tossed an INT).

I agree with you! But I still say the nature of football =/= the nature of Madonna's music, though I can appreciate both for what they are. But that's really a whole other conversation about whether folks really realize what it is that they're watching. This is a violent ____ing game, and the Madonna thing is a weird juxtaposition. So is whatsherface singing that weird version of the Joan Jett song. I guess it doesn't matter.

That is pure hyperbole and hate. It wasn't bad at all. In fact I enjoyed it. Do I listen to Madonna? Nope. Do I understand why they don't select bands that I would like? Yep! IMO Prince was one of the best. This one was close. You can't throw Metallica up there to bang their heads for 10 minutes. It's about the show and entertainment.

She does put on good shows, but as soon as I saw she was lipsyncing....AGAIN......I switched channels. It's been a long time since I've seen her sing live.

Thats where I don't understand. You mean you'd rather lose in the title game than the SB?

The 4 SB Ws Montana has trumps 3 SB Ws for Brady. But Brady's 2 SB Ls are better than the multiple title game loses for Montana.

That's the weird thing about the Super Bowl. It draws in the whole country. People that don't even watch the games all season watch the super bowl for the commercials and the acts. So I guess they do a good job. It is weird being a fan all season and having to watch some of the stuff.

I know that when I was a young kid I used to watch for just the commercials. And I went to several parties in college where folks who wouldn't watch a pro game all year would come by. I definitely think it was a good choice for their purposes.

At 54 though I would still like to show her my ween. :exactly::rotfl

Yeah, okay.

Tom Brady will be at the SB again! and he is a future Hall of Famer, however I have to feel for the guy, no matter how many SB's he will win, they would always have to remind him that he can't beat Manning in the SB! :lecture

The NFC is too strong now, I doubt the Giants will be back for a while. :slap

Hey now! How's Eli a *********? He's like, a nerd, right? :lol

It's a fact: Empirical research has proven that football is overwhelmingly made up of a majority of douchebags. In fact, Football had a firm lead over all other sports in douchebaginess for a while.
However, in the past decade, Football has fallen to number two in the amount of douchebags due to the rise in popularity in MMA.

So:
********* s per sport:

1. MMA
2.Football.
3.Basketball

What's really an interesting statistic is that toy collecting makes the list at #32. I know it's not a sport, but , hey it's not my study.
