They will sign him for cheap one year contract just like Ocho last year. If it doesnt work dump him.

Guys like this usually get signed by teams desperate to win, and I never thought of the Pats as desperate to win. So last year with signing Blowcho-stinko boggled me, and now seeing them sign this moron .... it just puzzles me. That's just my opinion. These guys obviously know what they're doing, so more power to 'em.

It's until Hernandez comes back. His contract isn't guaranteed, so he'll eventually be cut. Not that big a deal IMHO.:dunno

I'd give the Patriots organization a longer leash in their player personnel moves than any other team in the NFL.

A sad day for the NFL and anyone that is or has ever been a fan.

NFL Films President Steve Sabol lost his battle with cancer today.:monkey2

He's as much a part of my childhood and youth as any cartoon. I used to love watching the super bowl highlights. (and love seeing the huge poster of the program behind him) Those highlights and the specials were the only in-depth things we got to see back in the day

It's all gone weird as the NFL stepped in and dilluted the content special and otherwise, but RIP to a man who made my football fandom that much better.

Wow, indeed sad news. I also grew up with NFL films in the '70s. Before the advent of cable and dish, the only highlights I got to see were halftime highlights with Howard Cosell on Monday Night Football and NFL films. :(

I keep finding it amusing that all these people say the Offense who is winning can wave the white flag for the defense who is losing and they should just accept that.

RIP Steve Sabol. Little things, but I was a huge Garrison Hearst fan since his days in Georgia and through all his struggles with fumbling and injuries and hoping between some crappy teams in AZ and Cinci. And my friends were always dogging him (and correctly saying how Terrell Davis was the better Bulldog RB, yada yada.)When he scored that game winning 96 yard TD for the Niners in 98 and Sabol declared it the greatest run in NFL history I was so happy for him.

The NFL is what it is today largely due to NFL films. I think they could've done films about paint drying and turn it into a worldwide phenomenon. God rest the Sabols in heaven. Hopefully they had good protégés to carry on the tradition.

John Facenda or later Harry Kalas would have made the drying paint sound amazing.

I hope that Steve rightfully follows his father into the HOF. They both deserve enshrinement.

I wasn't either, but maybe he's referring to the end of the Giants-Bucs game? Schiano had it work for him twice while he was at Rutgers.

yea he's talking about the Bucs Giants game but the argument right now is that the Kneel down should be removed from the game and the offense should be forced to run a play so the defense can get a chance to get a turn over. jerry jones wants to put it to a vote actually.

You mean like the "Miracle at the Meadowlands - 1978." :lol :slap :lol
