Well, their efforts tonight were good enough to beat the Chargers.
You can certainly pick apart their performance, but at the end of the day, a win is a win.

I love how Manning is a god now since he came back from 24 points.

The Chargers did more to lose that game then Manning did to win that game.

So I turned off the game last night after the 14 point swing with Decker being tackled by the turf/field monster and the subsequent Quentin Jammer pick six a few plays later.

Imagine my surprise when I watched the late Sports Center. Wow.

Good comeback win by Denver, and Manning was on point in the second half (he had only what, one incompletion?).

(On another note, can we re-name Monday Night Football and call it Turnover Night Football? Geez.

In Week 2, Peyton has three picks against the Falcons.

In Week 4, Romo has five picks, two of which returned for TDs - although I still think the one that Lance Briggs took to the house should have been changed to a fumble.

Last night, Rivers had four picks, one of which was returned for a TD, and a fumble that was returned for a TD.

That's not counting the one interception/two interception games by Andy Dalton, Carson Palmer, Matt Schaub, Mark Sanchez, and Manning's pick six last night. Take care of the ball. I wonder how many turnovers Michale Vick will have when the Eagles play their two Monday night games?)

I've also come to the conclusion that I like Trent Dilfer as an analyst more than Steve Young. Dilfer makes better, more cogent points and frankly speaks better and presents his argument better. To me, it seems like Steve is always interrupting Trent...I don't know, I'm probably wrong, but it seems like Steve is thinking "Man, I'm in the Hall of Fame and a two-time MVP. Dilfer rode the coat tails of Baltimore's D to his Superbowl win. What does he know?". Young makes some good points, like when he mentioned that the NFL was "inelastic for demand" with the whole replacement ref debacle, but as a whole, I think Trent makes a better analyst.

Well one coach down! :clap I wonder if Andy and Vick are preparing their exit speeches? I also wonder if Gruden and Cowher are preparing their resumes?

Man the Eagles coaching staff should just fire themselves. :slap

You have one of the best if not the best running back in the league. You dont use him. You have success making short passes (vick 3 step drop). You spent the whole game figuring that out. You get the ball in overtime and go back to the long drops you were doing at the beginning when Vick was getting creamed. What happend? He got creamed.

You spend most of the game not blitzing and doubling the recievers. This one blows my ****ing mind. In overtime you START TO BLITZ! You ****ing morons! :slap

The Eagles need a better coach. This team should be playing like the Steelers. They should be running the ball and working in some play action. Short slant routes (using the teams speed) to get down field. Same old Andy. He's gone next year.

Man, Castillo getting canned is NOTHING compared to the announcement that Beyonce is doing the halftime show at the Super Bowl this year!!! :monkey1

Its odd...at no point last night did I think Denver was out of that game. When they got it to 24-14, I think most of us knew what the outcome would be LOL. I just can't figure out the Chargers, with all that talent.

They remind me of the Indians of the 90s. Great regular seasons and couldn't close the deal in the playoffs.

You got that right. I'd like to see a team with both Norv and Wade as the OC and DC together, respectively.

If a team can run amok like that in the second half...why bother to tire themselves out by actually making an effort in the first half?

I am not sure if I am happy about this. I like to joke around...a lot...and I had a bunch of comedy set up about my fantasy team who should be 1-5 right now.

But thanks to Peyton Manning dragging Decker into his come-from-behind theatrics...my team is now 2-4. And you all might be aware as football fans that making fun of a 2-4 team just does not have the impact that making fun of a 1-5 team does.

because the Patriots, Falcons, and Texans prove they cant do that if they make the playoffs. like i said im happy for the win and them being tied in the division heading to bye but they could be scary good in the AFC if they actually played all four quarters like they did last night in the second half.

Things are even getting better in Philly! My dreams are coming true! 3 more heads to roll and we are off to hopefully a better start next year.

Former Eagles president Joe Banner will be named CEO/president of the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday and current president Mike Holmgren will depart the organization within 24 hours

You do know I was joking, right?
