Well, Tim Thomas had labrum/hip surgery surgery in the last few days.

I hadn't realized opening the door to the bench put so much stress on your hip. So I learned something today.

Shame what happened to Thomas. He had a genuine rags to riches storyline. I hoped for better things for him. It seems he has become little more than bantha poodoo to the Bruins fans.

Yes, he's a nice story and all, but it doesn't change the fact that Chiarelli gave him a stupid contract that could hamstring the franchise for the next few years.

The Halak/Price soap should be entertaining. As for this season, it's circling the drain.

I'm not sure the Habs will keep both goalies. In any event, it should make for an interesting summer. I'm betting the Habs brass think they have a pretty good base of a team to move forward. They may want to move a few players like the Kostisyns and Price and plug a few holes. Also, I'm sure some loony toon owner out there is going to offer no-show Plecanec 7mill a year.
