Nah whats really funny is the fact that the Flyers were the first team to score in your new home and the first team to win there as well. That is pretty ____ing funny. :yess:

That's one game buddy, and it wasn't entirely a blow out. btw Your goalie looked awesome, but enjoy having him for what maybe 2 years at the very most. What's that? v-voom v-voom.. that's the sound of a revolving door. Also, what's that? *LETS GO PENS! LETS GO PENS!* The sound of my Penguins going further than your Flyers this season!

And what's that sound? *ker-plop* Me pooping on your face! Metaphorically of course, because in the real world it would be impossible to poop on one's face via a computer. When that day comes, I am so gonna lay a big turd on your face! That is all.

btw I miss our rivalry hockey chats. It's a good thing, because it means the hockey season is well under way. :rock

Pretty happy with the news that the B's extended Patrice Bergeron for another 3 years.

Of course Uncle Peter gave him a NMC. In other news water is wet.

Wow hope the Atlanta goalie is ok.....that was one of the scariest things i've ever seen is sports.

Pat Jablonski is the Flyers new goalie?? :monkey1

Flyers/Habs win a cup in the recent past and then you can talk all the smack you want, at leas the Flyers made the final and that is a accomplishment. Habs got close enought to smell and then got embarrassed proving that last years run was pure fluke

Flyers have talent, but they wont win the cup. Habs will be lucky to win the 8th spot, to many problems with the team and with no olympic break they will be worn down by years end.

I consider the Habs hockey's most storied franchise, but they need to be ALOT better, medicority is not acceptable for this team.

Oh so now it's not only about cups but has to be recent ones? You statistions are lamer then a retard banging his head against a bus while listening to the Blackhawks celebration song. Duh duh duh duh duh duh

You must be drunk watching the Phillies

Success of a team is measured by championships when the playing field is the same, and because the NHL expanded so many time in the last 25 years. You can only measure a teams success based on that, "recent", being not 1982

Yeah and the Pens were super successful last year weren't they? LOL! Your logic is flawed madam.

So each team's success is based on what they did last year only???

Those Red Wings, what a ____ty team :slap

Dear God you are all over the place aren't you. Hahaha Im not even going to waste my time.

How so?

Put down your 17th bud light ( = 4 canadian beers) and stop being such a Flyers homer

:rotfl

Flyers made it to the cup. The Pens did not. :lecture

So based on your logic you have to measure success on recent but not too recent track records. IE Deeznutz is trying to form an argument on why he thinks the Pens are still the best. Do you see what is being done here? Already trying to plant seeds to talk himself into it. :lol

So each team's success is based on what they did last year only???

Here is the real kicker. You can't use last year as a measurement because that wasn't a good season for the Pens and they missed a chance at the cup. Plus it's too recent according to the deeznutz timeline. So it doesn't count.

Who is the real homer? Your retorts are all based on a certain timeframe that you have created in your head to try to validate something. A certain I don't know what. In the end you make zero sense and have contradicted yourself based on past posts. And for the record you wouldn't catch me dead with a bud light. :lecture:rotfl

Ultimately it doesn't change the fact that your home opener in your new arena was soiled forever by the Flyers. :yess:

Your post makes zero sense
Where did I say the Pens were the best or the team to beat?

My argument is that as a franchise, over teh last 20 years when the variables are the same, the Pens are a better franchise.
____, since there existence theyve been better they have more cups, didt they both join in 67?

Its like your trying to say that only the team that won last year matters.

And knowing my luck, the ____in Habs will win tomorrow, and Ill never hear the end of it in here from RS also :)

____ son

i just googled these crappy ass Flyers and they have 16 Conference finals appearances :( Won the East 8 times

Ill concede that they are tied with Pens, an additional championship is worth at least 4 east conf titles.

I rest my case. :duff :yess:

You're both nuts. 4 Conference Finals does not equal a Cup. What kind of stupid logic are you two on a'boot? Get out of this here thread! You both make me sick. I can't even stomach you two... 4 CFs equal to a Cup? It's like saying 4 Cadilacs = a Rolls Royce. It's just not done.

IT

IS

NOT

DONE!!!

NO

NO

AND.....

N O O O O O O ... ummm oh yeah... O O O O O ... gonna brush my teeth and come back and... BACK! O O O O O ! ! !

like i said, when was the last time the flyers did anything? i can remember 3 pens cups in my time. don't remember the flyers winning one in my lifetime. nobody remembers the losers. the pens had lemieux and jagr amongst others. people will remember those names for a long time. i can't remember any notable flyers players.

Badmoon thinks the league is called The Flyers and the NHL.

:D

Nah. Playoff series wins means way more than winning the second game of the season. One reg season win doesn't equal cup in my mind like it does for Badmoon.

Besides, Crosby loves playing against Montreal. To think, this is where he dreamed of playing growing up. I wonder if he'll jump ship when he becomes a free agent.... I have my doubts though as Lemieux and the city have really embraced him. I could see him feeling hardpressed to stay.

Malkin, on the other hand, might not even last the year. That trade might make the team even better. If Toronto gave 2 1st rounders for Kessel, I wonder what the Pens would get? Other than Ovechkin and Crosby, Malkin is worth the best player in the league plus another solid player plus some 1st rounders.

My first thought was that is was an aneurism.
I wonder how comfortable the Thrashers brass would be putting him back out there.
