Hot Toys have to grab a NHL licence to make 1/6th figures..these would be priority purchases for me. I really think they would sell like hot cakes and attract more people to their company to increase sales even more.

Disagreed completely. At HT's price point, it would just drive too many people away. Especially since the price point would hinder people like me who'd buy borderline McFarlane goalies, since I'd have a mild interest in the player.

They'd probably make Crosby and Ovechkin and then call it a day anyway.

If HT did figures I can guarantee we would only see Gretzky. He is the only name big enough that is up there with sports greats. There is hardly a market for NHL let alone $200 figures.

As much as I love my hockey, I would never buy a doll of a player.
I do have some signed lithographs, jerseys, and sticks.
However, I wouldn't go near the dolls.

I really hate that format. I'm also surprised by it, since besides the "OMG Crosby vs. Ovechkin!!!1" publicity, I see this hurting ASG jersey sales.

Knock offs look decent, but don't feel or have the same build as an official jersey. If you don't mind sweating in your jersey w/o moving a muscle, then those are your jerseys. But official is the way to go.

Game worn, albeit more expensive, is truly the way to go though.
