The Kovalchuk signing is going to kill the Devils. These long term contracts are insane. Just wait until Stamkos' contract is up. By that time, he'll have twice as many goals and points as Vinnie. How can the Lightning brass look at Stamkos straight in the face and have the nerve to offer him half what Vinnie is getting? They should have burned Montreal while they had the chance and traded him. My thinking is that Vinnie knew he'd never be able to live up to the contract in Montreal and he would have been crucified for it.

Leafs only win 1 out of their last 10. Where is that Leaf's fan who believes this level of performance to be stanley cup worthy?

P.S. What is going in the third period with the Bruins??

You sure that wasnt the Pens defence??

Wow give up 4 goals in the third, I think disco Dan might be in trouble

That was a brutal 3rd for the Pens D.

By the end 15 of the 18 Bruins skaters had a point. Pretty crazy.

Time for the Habs....

Only Flyer fans. :)

God loves Penguin fans. :rock

Fleury gets a 9th chance next game. Don't blow it Flower and no there is no Malkin trade in the works. Lets not be silly. :monkey4

O'Byrne and his 1.4 mil and Boyd and his 600k are off the salary cap.
Something is definitely brewing in Montreal...

the other night i saw Chris Stewart score for the Avs then he went over and pounded his fists on the glass to pump up the fans in that area. awesome.:rock

You guys see Kovalchuk's shootout finesse against the Sabres? It can't be too much fun being a Devil's fan these days... Yeesh. It's to the point where people might even choose to become a Flyer's fan instead. It's that bad. Although, not bad enough to support the leafs.

yeah i saw it. before that happened he had a breakaway in the 3rd period and the shot missed the goal by a mile. i feel bad for him cuz it seems like he's trying way too hard, like he has prove that his insane contract is worth it or something.

How much does Lou Lamoriello regret this already? It's just a perfect storm of crap in NJ with Parise's injury, Kovy being a bust thus far and Brodeur apparently getting "old" all of a sudden.

There's still hope though that Kovalchuk won't be the next Yashin, at least I'm sure Devils' fans are telling themselves that.:lol

Apparently Lou didn't want him. The owner did.

And yes I saw the shootout goal... he didn't even get the shot off.. he fanned on it. Even if he scored 50 goals this season the contract wasn't worth it.

I have said that Marty was overrated for years. Great? yeah...best ever? No way. he played behind the best defensive system in the NHL for years and years. Now? Not so much.

I’m not sure what’s wrong with Rask, Sophomore slump, injury, or something else. One thing for sure is that the team has yet to play a good, complete game in front of him this season. Complete reversal of the confidence they played with in front of him last year.

The 4th line can't continue to be the best line on a nightly basis. I understand things may get better when Savard and Krejci get back, but the 2nd and 3rd lines have been hit-or-miss this season.

The lone positive I will take away from a discouraging game is my growing admiration for Brad Marchand.
