I’m not sure what’s wrong with Rask, Sophomore slump, injury, or something else. One thing for sure is that the team has yet to play a good, complete game in front of him this season. Complete reversal of the confidence they played with in front of him last year.

The 4th line can't continue to be the best line on a nightly basis. I understand things may get better when Savard and Krejci get back, but the 2nd and 3rd lines have been hit-or-miss this season.

The lone positive I will take away from a discouraging game is my growing admiration for Brad Marchand.

How about the fact that the Canadiens played well?
Heavens forbid!

:D

P.S. Bring on the Flyers!!!

The defense was great for the Habs. The flopping was kept to a minimum, but still present. Heck even Carey Price looked good. May he celebrate his night as only Carey can.:lol

Kovalchuk won't even score 35 this year.

Premature much? I suppose I have more patience than most on here.

35 goals could and will happen. I have seen this Ilya Kovalchuk before. One year he started the first half with 11 goals and finished with 43 goals. So we have been down this road before. He's too good not to evolve from this. We're not even 20 games in, so lets not get too far ahead of ourselves.

Even though Marc-Andre Fleury faced a mere 16 shots, he still played decent hockey and came out with a 1.00 GAA win. Baby steps. I believe in the guy.

That's what true fans do. They support their players. Not tear them apart. I don't care what anyone says. You don't tear apart your own. What is happening, is and has happened. Negative and hostile behavior will not make the situation improve itself. All you can do as a fan is be supportive. Sometimes I believe hockey observers, not fans, lose sight of that.

Eli, there are times when you come off awfully pompous and condescending. While your posts are likely more astoundingly poor attempts at being funny, you would nonetheless likely benefit from toning down your patronizing tones, otherwise, even more people will start calling you on it, or worse, they will quite literally completely ignore you. As someone who appears to thrive on having an audience, you could find yourself feeling remarkably alone quickly.

Life is too short, Eli. You don't need to have all of those pickles up there.

:)

I really could careless what you think of me.

These forums are fantasy to me.

You see, it's really too bad that you feel that way because it ultimately sends the message that you have absolutely no interest in contributing to the comfort and stability of a room. It also pretty much says that you see no issue with bulldozing yourself into whatever room you wish, and should someone take issue with something you do or say, too bad for them. After all, as bizarre as this might sound, their thoughts and feelings only take part of your online fantasy, as you put it, so they're not really real.

In the world I live in, that's not the best way to make friends, let alone build a respectable rapport. But hey, like you said, you really don't give a rat's behind what people think of you. It's a shame because you do appear like you have lots to contribute to a sports thread like this one. However, if being forum friends with you means saying or doing nothing while you're being potentially offensive without the slightest sensitivity towards how others might experience your behavior, then I'm passing.

I am sorry. I shouldn't be so hard on you guys. Guess I been taken some dumping I thought it was okay to dump back. Not that two wrongs make a right. I'll be back when I can respect your opinions instead of putting them down. This isn't who I am.

I am a good person and don't need you to tell me who or what I am. As for friends, the 40+ people I got for my Birthday bash speaks volumes.

I was teasing. Kidding around, but I get that you're oversensitive and aren't aware of that concept. You see it as being hugely offensive. I get teased a lot on the forum and I take it for what it is. You want to blow it up into something that it isn't. Fine, but don't lecture me how to make friends. Most people who know me, know I mean no harm in what I say. Maybe we should just ignore each other from here on in. :)

Anyway, I am done with this thread. I am part of a hockey forum. I can chat on there about the game. This is a toy/statue forum. I'll discuss collectibles and leave the hockey banter to you guys.

Toodles. :wave

What's particularly interesting about your reply is that it clearly shows that you're effected by and sensitive to what other people say to you. Are you that unable to incorporate that same understanding and sensitivity towards others? Your apparent knee jerk reaction to both dismiss what's being said and then run off suggests quite a bit about how you might deal with things.

While I can see you truly appreciate the time I took to discuss how what you say and do might put off other people, and how you might be held accountable for it, I nonetheless wish you the best.

I deleted my posts. Figure it's not even worth fighting this. It's silly really. This is supposed to be fun, and I even went away from that.

Anyway, Fleury is getting back to back starts, another win will do good for him.

Jeff Carter just signed an 11-year contract extension. What is with these owners? Nothing against Carter necessarily, it's just that history has generally shown that long term contracts tend to bring out the worst in players.

I really hope the NHL finds a way to bring a 'cut players' clause into the CBA like they have in the NFL. Players should be held liable for not playing anywhere near their contract value. If you want the 10 million, earn it, otherwise prepare to be cut. Then players will see what they're really worth.

I think Gomez would step it up a bit if he believed he could be cut and left with nothing.

Fleury has back to back wins now. i was a little worried when he let that quick goal in at the beginning, but he hung in there.
