You know, you can use whatever excuse you wish to explain the Flyers' bitter defeat and shutout at the hands of the Habs.
It won't change a thing as for today, the Habs were the far better team.
P.S. The Flyers played like thugs. Powe is a putz. And, you know what?
The Habs still won. Powe will likely get his clock cleaned some time this season.
The 22nd should be very interesting.

He's a hypocrite. He doesn't like knee jerk comments, but he can troll on others teams and trash talk... perfectly acceptable. Nice double standard.
I just don't like how these so-called fans can write their own so fast. I mean, fans are supposed to support their guys. Yes, they can call them on their slumps or when they are playing mediocre hockey. But flat-out trash them... that's what bothered me since day 1 in this thread.

Deez, he is so not worth the trouble as his capacity for personal insight appears virtually non-existent. If you call him on things, he'll just run crying to a mod and ask for your posts to be deleted because you put him in his place and made him look petty and juvenile.
He wants to pop into threads, say whatever comes to his mind without the slightest prior reflection, and then cries foul when he's made accountable. Rather than learn from these incidents, he throws a tantrum like a child who just lost at checkers. He then leaves in a huff, comes back, leaves in a huff again, and then comes back, each time without the slightest notion as to how he contributes to his conflicts with others. Frankly, this is a cycle I'm having no part of.
That's pretty much my last thought on Eli.
I already wasted more time than I'd ever need to on the subject of Eli.

Halak is known for having strong starts. He's also known for having really off nights. Then he gets strong again. I don't think this is a goalie who could play 60 games a year. St Louis shouldn't burn him out too early otherwise Halak's tank will be empty come playoff time.
O'Byrne is really logging in the minutes in Colorado. Good for him.
Montreal sports radio was buzzing with anti-Flyers sentiment. Anyone have an internet link to Philly sports radio? I'd love to occasionally hear Philly post game talk. All this to say that a rivalry between the Habs and Flyers appears is in full swing.

Another solid win for the Caps last night, very happy to see the Caps have solidified the netminder spot this year. I doubt it may happen but i'd like to see the Caps sign Semin to a long term deal. Sure he's injury prone but when he's on like he has been this season he's amazing.

Do the Caps have the money for Semin? He's going to want at least 6-7 million a year, long term. My issue with Semin is his no-show in the playoffs. As great as Halak was, most games could have beed decided by an extra Semin goal. Semin was just nowhere to be found.

As far as money goes, yes and no. They could but I believe it would really strap the team down. He has proven to be a no show in the playoffs but that doesn't bother me as much as Greens playoff no shows. I think a big part of Semins great play this year is the fact he wants a big deal(in DC or elsewhere). So with that thought it could be wise to move him out west for some D or a stud young C.

what sucks is that he was making incredible saves all night then he must have fell asleep in the 3rd period or something. oh well. they don't have perron or oshie for the foreseeable future, so i think they are in trouble.
