Just heard that Pronger is undergoing surgery on his foot following an injury in the Montreal game.

As much as I may despise the Flyers, Pronger has been in my top three favorite defensemen in the league for over ten years. I'd love to have this guy on my team. Get well soon, Chris!

The actual WC tix are going for between $250-$400+ a pop. The alumni game tix are going between $200-$250.

When I'm out for the alumni I'm going to have an ear out to see if anyone is selling WC tix cheap. I'm not holding out much hope though, I'm just happy to see 66 again.

WOW thats crazy, I paid less than that for the 2ND rounds against the Habs last year, and I was 8 rows up.

Go figure they see an opportunity to rip everyone off and they jump at it.

You could buy a whole section in Nashville for 400$.....

All about the $. These two teams are the biggest cash cows in the league. I'm mean, that's alright that this is the pens second winter classic.

I agree with what you're saying, but NBC doesn't care about the Canadian market. For the most part the WC has been a gimmick to get Americans to watch. As it is whenever NBC broadcasts regular season games it's always the same 8 teams.

Yeah it's not much, but some exposure on American network television is better than none I suppose.

There were rumors a few months ago about ESPN wanting to get a package of games again. I'd like to see it happen with them keeping Versus on board. The more hockey on television the better.
