I disagree about the fit on Reeboks, they are generally good IMO because they are a fitted construction, and the IIHF Nike jerseys are a even better fit/lay i think.

The older KOHO/CCM jerseys are a more durable construction but, sometimes looks like a dress if you are wearing one with jeans, depends on the size ofcourse, my CCM Sundin 2000 home jersey(player replica) in Medium fits pretty good on me.

You're right on the money.

Old CCM, Nike, Center Ice, and Rebook's pre Edge era fit like dresses. The new Edge Reeboks version 1.0 and 2.0 are more form fitting and are made of a more stretchable, thinner material. They are lighter, but are cheaply constructed, especially the Edge 1.0's. They didn't wick properly and tore easily. One old pre-Edge jersey could last an entire season with repairs. An Edge, you'll be lucky to get 20 games out of one at a professional level, where the game is more physical.

Personally I like the older jerseys more. Better quality and look nicer.

RBK jerseys are AWFUL for playing in. I'm not one of those goalies whose chest protectors form a giant wall, I actually trim a lot of the extraneous padding off, for added mobility and reduced bulk.

But even over my diet chest protector, the RBK jersey would hinder arm movement.

Depends on the RBK jersey. RBK makes some great older traditional jerseys that are built very well. If we're talking about the newer Edge style jerseys then sure, but not all of RBK's jerseys are bunk.

this is probably why Brodeur sucks so bad this year.

I think it has more to do with him having just turned 83.

That, and the fact that over the years, players have been aked (and many accepted) to take less than market value to play for the Devils only to see Kovalchuk swoop in and receive the most insane contract in NHL history. Which incidentally, means most of the decent players on the team get the sense that they aren't coming back, or worse, will have to accept less than market value.

I hope this puts an end to these long term insanity contracts.
The NHL gave the Devils the out. They should have taken it.

Indeed. I ordered a couple replicas from them back in 2004 when the Lightning won the cup. I only wore them a couple of times and after 3-4 washes the prints were starting to fade and coming off in a couple of the edges.

I'd just pony up for an authentic one and keep it for a long time. My authentic Lecavalier jersey from 2004 is still in great condition right now.
