Yeah I'd hate to see any NHL player get hurt in another league, but that risk is up to them.
Comparing what they make to what most people make isn't fair, if they normally make X amount they probably live a life around making X amount and a lockout should make them sell their cars/house/whatever even if they are worth more than we could wish to imagine.
