Re: 2013 NHL Season

1. The Wild scrimmaged tonight with teams split between the Wild and Houston Aeros. 18,000 tickets were claimed and it looks like everyone showed up.

Well, looks like the local blog reported that 13,000 folks showed up. Still, not bad.

Eli, I think you might have asked about this guy some time ago, Matt Dumba.

"The big story of the night was that 18-year-old defenseman Matt Dumba looked real good. He assisted on Palmieri’s goal, flashed a bunch of one-timers, had a great gap and skated real well."

-Michael Russo (Star Tribune)

NYC has less homeless than when I was a kid but I still walk past three guys in their regular spots in the couple blocks I walk to catch the bus every night. When I was in Toronto I only saw one homeless person....ill leave the why up to your imagination but he ate a 20 my friend gave him.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Jamie, can you please respond to my one post... :)

Inquiring about what a person does who can't make it. I will, especially since I moved it back ... lol

It's me and three others... so 4. I'll try and nab a couple more.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

LA has WAY more...

It's possible, although I was in LA a couple years back, and I'd say it's close.

I think it seems like TO has more because the city is so nice, that they seem to stick out more. And unlike NYC, where they will usually sit against buildings or at least somewhat out of the way, but in TO they were just sleeping in the middle of the sidewalk.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Im really hoping i get lucky with the draft tonight since i have no clue how to play fantasy

Re: 2013 NHL Season

Although Toronto probably had more homeless people laying on the street than anywhere else I've ever been.

I remember one time i was with my buddy at the bars on Queen West and some bum asked us for change and we respectively declined him of some and he called us ****ers, haha..my buddy snaps and pulls out a toonie and whips it into the guys head at point blank range "there's your ****in change mutha$#@%" and that was that. XD

I can't stand the bums downtown but, i feel for some of them just, its not fun having a dinner out on the street patio when they come and harass you now and again.

So, is this pool for fun or is there money involved?.

Re: 2013 NHL Season

I admit, it probably wasn't my best post, or the best supporting link.. I read more into it and I see that now. It wasn't asking for prices.. again, this is why one shouldn't be posting at 4 AM in the morning.

A friend posted this concerning the draft...

I've got a list from my other league that is drafting tomorrow...also can't attend
So....do I send my list to someone?
Do I program it into... like Yahoo fantasy sports or something?
Hows this all gonna work?

Yea you can make pre-selections for your picks and then the auto-draft system will try to draft your picks when its your turn. Does that make sense?

I.e. if your first pick is Claude Giroux but G goes to someone else, then they maybe you'll get your #2 pick, or #3, etc.

Were you able to find anyone else?
