Shero fleeced the Flames, only because Iginla dictated where he wanted to go and had the Boston deal turned down, despite the opinion it was better (exactly that, an opinion), because it can turn out better for the Flames going with the Pittsburgh package in time.

For a guy who scored 43 goals last year, a captain, a winning attitude, and already a Cup champion (check Game 6 in the 2004 SCF Gelinas game winning goal, it was legitimately a good goal and was called off because Gary wanted a non hockey market to get the Cup), it was a damn good deal. The Pens didn't give up any big name prospects (I like Agostino).... point is, that was a damn good deal. Anyone who thinks otherwise is ignorant towards the talent the Pens received.

I will say this, the Flames should have traded Iggy a couple years ago when he had more value.

The Boston deal was 2013 1st Round pick, Alex Khokhlachev and Matt Bartkowski.

Chiarelli press conference today really made the whole deal sound shady. He said everything was set at noon yesterday, but Feaster wouldn't let him talk to Iggy. Then around 5 his calls to Calgary go unanswered, followed by them finding out that Iggy was going to the Pens around midnight. If Iginla only wanted Pittsburgh that's fine it was his choice, but they way the Bruins were strung along seems really ****ty.

We are fans as the team is exciting, Devils should take notes. When all is said and done NO one will ever remember the Devils for the premium talent they have put on the ice that hasnt worn a goalie mask

Stop being a hater and give credit where credit isdue, Shero sees an oppportunity and goes for it, cant fault him for that it won the Pens a cup

Something of an ironic comment, when the Penguins players wearing goalie masks are the biggest hurdle to them winning the Cup this year.

That!^^^ Khokhlachev, which I guessed since they said they didn't want to move Subban and Spooner. Hamilton was up, so the only big prospect they could move was Khok. I was right! Doesn't matter, because Iginla had his mind set on the Burgh. Feaster should be fired. Not because of the return he got. Iggy pigeon holed him into a position where he had to work with very little. No, it was the way he handled the whole situation with Boston. I feel for Aaron Ward. Lots of people gave him crap for leaking what they felt was inaccurate info, which in fact was the exact opposite. Feaster is a hack. I mean one doesn't have to look that far back with the Ryan O'Reily offer sheet.

Do I like having Iginla for sure, did it cost us to much dont think so, but I dont see why we needed him, we are rolling w/o him and Dupius and Kuntz are scorinig more than anyone else in the league.

CC wants to know why I like the Pens? **** this generation of Penguins and its fan base. I grew up loving the Lemieuxs, Francis', Murphys, and Mullens. Those guys are all class. I was even a big Ken Wregget fan back in the day. Tom Barrasso was the word found in his last name. So wasn't a fan of him or Jags, despite their achievements and accolades. lol

You need to get over the tired Devils are boring trap stuff. I seem to recall them having a pretty exciting post-season last year. The Pens did as well when they Flyers handed their asses to them.

I like all the players you mentioned (also forgot to mention Petr Stastny, Elias, Sykora, Arnott, Richer, etc. Oh and B R O D E U R! <3 MARTY!

But I loathed that POS C. Lemieux.

You do know that the Devils and Penguins have won the Stanley Cup the same amount of times. The only difference is that the Devils have gone to the big dance 5 times and we didn't have to tank for picks.

The Devils is one of like 7 teams that have never had a number one overall pick. I say their history is pretty decent in spite of that.
Oh and if the Pens with their half empty arena in 1983 don't tank the end of their season for number one overall pick Super Mario would have been wearing the horns and tail.

I like the Devils... so don't need to convince me. I liked them because I loved Elias, Niedermayer, and Brodeur. Honestly, it was because I owned all 3 in my fantasy keeper league, but it forced me to follow the Devils closer than most teams not Pittsburgh, and thus I became a fan.

Anyway, no more fighting. I just lost a dad and nearly put a pet down today. Lets remember we're all fans of the best sport in the world.

Another reason I love Elias... he's the most undervalued and under appreciated star in the past decade. Guy gets around 75 points per season and yet nobody talks about him.

Great goal by Lupul, he's been red hot since coming back, JVR had a better game and Kessel has been quite the playmaker as of late.

By far that was the Leafs best period(3rd)+ power play(Phaneuf goal) this season or even in the last two years that i can remember, perfect execution.

All those guys and the three others you mentioned were good players, some great, but to be mentioned in the same sentence as the four I said plus Francis, would be insanity.

No one will mention anyone you said when they speak of hockeys prolific scorers, Mogiliny will be close, but none of the others for their scoring.

Anyway hows about them Leafs??? Looking like they will make the playoffs this year and as much as I hate TO, I like watching their games.
