How ironic! Iginla nixed a trade to Boston at the last minute because he though he could hitch his wagon and ride the Pens coat-tails to a cup! In hindsight Pittsburgh totally got the short end of that deal. They gave up two prospects and this year's first round pick in a very deep draft.
Now some of you may know what I mean by this and it in no way has anything to do with race: Jarome Iginla is the Karl Malone of hockey!

Iginla is only 35. He's still got some good years left. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in Detroit next season.

How is this all on Bylsma? When the Pens went on their winning streak everyone thought he was awesome. Shero shares some of the blame since he's the one that went after Iginla instead of filling the roster with decent role players. The Pens goalie situation is so jacked that I almost thought I was watching the Flyers. Your big players like Crosby and Malkin didn't come through. Plus the Pens Achilles' heel is their defense which Shero addressed by getting Douglas Murray who is about as over the hill as it gets.

Yeah that too. Their run reminds me of the Oilers run in 1990. Down 3 games to 1 against Winnipeg, coming back and winning the cup. Destiny at its best.
