Cause you're a ***.

Atleast I am a *** with taste, unlike you who is a *** who's in love with the Jaws look-alike.

We better keep this tame. We may get ourselves in big trouble. Lets just say all our players are good.. as they are.

Okay...

but my Pens will win. It's okay. Just accept defeat!

4-3 Caps arent out of this!

Seriously. I KNOW this team. Just accept what I tell you and it will make the series loss much easier. I am not even upset because I accept that this franchise no matter who the players are, who the coach is, who the GM is and who the owner is, is a CHOKING DOG.

THIS IS THE PENS SERIES!

What is with the Pens always coming back from 2 game deficits with this team? :)

You're talking smack to the wrong guy and you're not getting to me. I knew and know the series is over. I am not bothered by it. I expected it. I always expect this team to choke like a dog. It's what they do.

Caps goalie choked tonight, if Pens keep up their play then its lights out for Caps though i am caught in a struggle because i like both teams but, Pens have more potential to go all the way then the Caps..sucks Gonchar is out from a cheap knee on knee by OV.

Great game by the Pens tonight, even El Diablo pitched in with a solid effort.

I wouldnt worry Kit, I dont think your Caps are done, think this goes 7, coming off back to back I would be very surprised if the Caps lose tomorrow on home ice

As for the hit on Gonch, Ovi might be a frankenstien looking muthaf&@ka, but he didnt mean to pull a Bryan Marchment on that play. Hopefully Gonch is ok...

I wasn't MIA... what a dumb dumb... saying I am a bandwagon fan. I feel so sorry for people who assume. They make an ASS out of U and... U! So it's assuu!

A week ago I was really thinking this could possibly be the year. So much for that. The last three games the Bruins have looked like they don't even belong on the same ice as the Hurricanes.

I hate sports. :banghead

I plan to get pissy drunk before game 5 so I can dull the pain of the loss to come.

Go Caps

That's kind of where I am. I mean the truth is that sports is set up for disappointment. Unless you're lucky enough to be a fan of the Wings, Lakers, Yankees or other powerhouse teams that always seem to be good then you're only hope is for a lucky run or two in your lifetime.

I have been lucky to see the Redskins glory years and 3 SB wins, 1 Michigan hockey, football and basketball title and that's really about it that I was seriously passionate about. I was happy when the Red Sox finally won, but am not the die hard fan I was back in the 80's and 90's anymore. I would gladly trade every single one of those wins for a Caps cup, but I am honestly starting to believe that the Caps franchise is just cursed. They will NEVER win.

I used to be a mindless cheerleader who always believed we could do it. Then went to and angry fan who got seriously pissed with each loss to now being a fan who just EXPECTS and accepts that they WILL find a way to blow it and lose.

Sports is set up for disapppintment. There can only be 1 winner each year and everyone else is a loser. I just wish the Caps could have that ONE run and win it all while I am alive to see it.

Dude, you worry to much, this is the best team they have had in years. You still have a very good chance, the winner of this series will have a legitimate shot at beating the winner of Bos vs Car, and to make to the finals win or lose is an accomplishment, especially if you lose to the Wings.

I am a Mets/Knicks/Doplhins fan, and have had years of heartbreak and frustration, but thats the way it goes. If your team wins one championship in your life time, enjoy the moment.

I've always said "Experience" is everything in the playoffs .................... that and a DAMN good goalie :D

Carolina has all of that right now. However I am really surprised that they are doing so well but hell in the playoffs anything can happen. The Canes are looking so good right now its not even funny plus they won a cup not too long ago.

I dunno guys, all I will say is I won't be surprised.

Canes winning shouldn't be a surprise. Ignore the fact they were the Hartford Whalers and where their team is now in a non-hockey market. Two Cup Finals in the last ten years and a Cup should give you an idea why. That, and an abundance of talent. Great coaching and Jim Rutherford is no slotch either as a GM.

Sources tell TSN Pittsburgh defenceman Sergei Gonchar suffered an apparent knee injury and will miss the next several weeks, perhaps the remainder of the season.

Gonchar was injured following a knee-on-knee collision with Capitals star Alex Ovechkin, who received a minor penalty on the play.

During a Washington power play in the first period of Game 4, Gonchar skated out from behind the Pittsburgh net and Ovechkin appeared to stick out his right knee a moment before the two collided. The Penguins defenceman was unable to put any weight on his right leg and was helped off the ice.

The National Hockey League has ruled out the notion of supplemental discipline which has prompted reaction from Gonchar's representative, JP Barry.

''We now have Exhibit A of the extreme double-standard that exists in the NHL's approach to discipline. Alex clearly cuts back with his knee after missing his check with devastating results. But of course, because it's Alex, its all Sergei's fault,'' Barry told TSN.

''It was a extremely negligent hit and if anyone else in this league does the same we all know they will face serious discipline,'' Barry continued. ''Part of being 'great' means playing with respect. He is wreckless and this isn't the first or last time he will get a free pass from the NHL, and the best part is he knows it.''

I sure hope this isn't true, and no Ovechkin didn't lead in with his shoulder.

Either way the guy is wreckless. This isn't cool. I heard that Dan Blysma said Gonchar is now a GTD (Game Time Decision) so does that mean his injury may not be that serious or is Gonchar going to play through the injury? Either way, not good. Everyone knows that Gonchar is the Pens Achilles heel.

He gets that first pass out. He's our best rush dman, and he has one heavy shot, thus why he is such an important cog to our powerplay. The Pens were 18-6-4 with him in the lineup, and barely were above .500 with him on the IR. We need Gonchar to beat the Caps and hopefully go much deeper into the playoffs.

If you watch the replay Ovechkin DID mean to hit him, but didn't mean to knee on knee him. Gonchar tried to pull up to avoid the hit and that's how the knee on knee happened. Why would Ovechkin risk blowing up his own knee? He wouldn't. He wasn'y trying to knee on knee the guy. It's also a countrymen it happened to. It was a bad situation and I am not just being a Caps homer. I am sorry it happened, but I believe Ovechkin is too. I know Pens fans everywhere want blood and will only believe it was done with intent, but whatever.

Glad Gonchar is out...that bastard cost us a series agianst the pens years ago when he fell over his own two feet carrying the puck out of the zone in OT giving up a breakaway that was scored on.
